Oh god the target capture missions with pubbies. :suicide:

I understand that F2P games will have a retarded segment of audience, probably literal children- I guess I'm sort of jealous that when I was young I didn't have such great free games. We settled for the likes of Shockwave.com and NeoPets and all such trash. drat are they bad though. I just have to say they're kids because that's how I can maintain my sanity. Nobody over 14 should be having so much difficulty with the basics by the time you're on the third world.

I just got matched into a game four times in a row with some guy doing %5 of the match damage each time "because I am underleveld, I played the beta!"; he appeared to still be using the MK1 rifle, though I couldn't tell for sure.

Those capture missions, god drat they do not understand it or something. The challenge is to selectively ignore non-target enemies and shoot the target as much as possible, killing it before it can escape. On the first Earth level, on my third attempt to do it with randoms I got fed up and asked them why they wouldn't chase the target. I whined that I did over 2/3 of the damage necessary and if just one of the other three players had shot him at all it probably would have been success.

The response? "Sorry buddy, but you're the new one." Followed by a "you're going to have real difficulty in the later levels". Well, I'm sure that's true. Not because I'm too stupid to do the objective, though.

I told him I didn't care because he would hit a brick wall and then he wouldn't be in my quick matching pool and disconnected.

I can probably solo it. Just didn't want to!

If you collect, max out, and install all the power duration-related mods and also wear Trinity's Aura helmet (+25% duration, -5% health), then Blessing will last for something crazy like 28.5 seconds, so provided you keep killing stuff and getting energy, your whole team can be invulnerable pretty much forever.

She's definitely fun, if nothing else. Popping Fire Blast, World on Fire, and Overheat in the middle of a massive group of infested then running around cackling like a lunatic as everything around you burns to a crisp is one of the best things I've experience in the game so far.

e: Would going max Power Efficiency on Trinity mean you could give yourself 77.5 and your team 100 energy every ~4 seconds? 'Cause that seems like it would be nifty too.

One thing I hate are the speed runners. They decide that we're going to speed run so they fly past all the enemies and then either die or fail to capture the target. This has always been my biggest issue with coop heavy games. Statistically speaking, on a random match up, odds are good that most if not all the people randomly assigned to given game will have already completed that area at least once, and many will have no intention of doing anything but trying to power through it, or at the very least, will have no patience for people that want to explore or, I don't know, enjoy the game. This is the main reason I didn't summon a single blue phantom my first trip (and rarely on successive trips) through Dark Souls. For games like Warframe, this issue is even worse than usual when you start running into people farming.

The most fun I have had in this game had been playing with a single partner that was just as clueless and lost as I was, and felt no need to rush poo poo constantly. We could just run out of ammo and parkour off cliffs together instead if chase after some mouth breather that doesn't know how to use a mic or not to run right into the middle of huge mobs alone.

Doing the first earth mission solo got me sweating towards the end; it really felt epic to manage it. I got both targets but died exiting the first time, and the second try made it out... but I ran out of ammo totally. My last clip got me through the last room and then I dived onto the ship with enemies still shooting me.

This game is pretty awesome.

I couldn't rush it, is the thing. That would get me killed. I had to take each room, evaluate, and eliminate enemies defensively while using cover and playing smart and steady. I used my pistol when there were few enemies to conserve ammo, and only used my sword to defend myself when enemies were next to me with low health.

It has that element Left 4 Dead has where you can't just facerush it (until you're godlike because you've better equipped yourself, in this case)- but you also can't dilly-dally because more enemies come and you have limited ammunition resources. It strikes a very good balance in this sense, possibly the best I have ever experienced. It makes you nervous. Is it going to send six flamethrower guys at me? Oh god I hope not, let's keep moving.

If I were to slap a Blind Rage, Fleeting Expertise, and Streamline on her (sadly Focus has not dropped for me yet :saddowns: ) I could get ~1600 damage explosions for 65 energy (assuming the +/- Power Efficiency effects are additive).

This is what I did. You can do other stuff like ditch the health/shields mods for whatever else you like, or maybe ditch streamline for energy vampire or whatever. Narrow minded really does a number on energy vampire though. You can also jam fleeting expertise in there and go for 25 energy 14ish second duration blessings.

I admit, I do like to gently caress around in low level areas sometimes, but I do it by killracing, not speedrunning.

Before I started calling the bad pubbies Dogfarts, I was calling them Grineer. You see, the Grineer are founded on hate and jealousy. And I figure that the high level speedrunners are literally only doing public games to be shitheads. People doing regular progression just slow them down, and in solo they don't have to deal with co-op doors or other people standing under cameras. Either they are only in a public game to scream at you, or they are ignorant of the fact that co-op doors turn into solo doors when they're alone. There are no other reasons for their presence. They are either Grineer or Bot-Aspirants.

As such, when you find yourself in the presence of such people, co-op doors become your new best friend. And if it weren't for the new host picking and host migration, I would even be telling you to let them stand in extraction while you walk right up to the edge of the exit zone, and abort the game at the last second when you are the host.

Managed to kill Stalker earlier tonight. He aggroed on a pubbie on a mobdef map, who apparently didn't know to announce it and waypoint his location. Somehow he didn't despawn when he downed somebody, and an enterprising Loki went inviz outside the dispel radius while everyone else dogpiled him.

The three of us on him all went down but killed him while bleeding out. Loki rezzed us. I guess the key is just to have a broken overpowered secondary to unload on him while you bleed out?

Molecular Prime is stupidly good, and unlike a lot of abilities never stops being viable no matter how high level you get. Higher up, though, you'd be better served to increase its range over its power and make Antimatter Drop your main damage dealer, as the damage debuff you'll get from Overextended if you go all in only affects its base damage and not the damage you get by shooting the hell out of the orb.

Prime's best traits are really the mass slow and the fact that anyone afflicted with it are now taking double damage. The damage is great early on but later when you're going big horrifying defense missions you'll definitely want the range.

Focus does nothing at all for link and bless. It does do something for well of life, but bless makes well of life obsolete. It does quite a bit for energy vampire, but all the other mods make energy vampire function very ineffectively. It's range gets cut down to nothing, and the extended duration bungles the energy per tick.

Basically you trade two skills that don't have a big impact and are fiddly and unreliable to use, for absolute immunity to everything the game can throw at you.

- Fixed some of Darvo's transmissions not playing during alert mission
- Fixed "select a node" hint appearing when playing key-based missions
- Fixed Solar Map progress including event and PVP nodes, resulting in incorrect progress “X/239”.
- Fixed being able to scroll and element underneath the social menu when the Social Menu’s context menu is open.
- Fixed gas, viral, and corrosive melee fx on non-Tenno weapons causing performance issues.
- Various crash fixes

Having problems with Challenges/Achievements? Please see here: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/139977-issues-with-achievementschallenges-megathread/

A script has recently run to give all Founders of Hunter of above the Excalibur Prime Avatar in-game.

-----------------

About Trinity builds, this one (with the Aura hat) gets me ~20 seconds of Blessing for 25 energy. +148% duration from mods, 25% from Aura, -60% from Fleeting Expertise, +113% duration total. There is room for improvement, I just don't care. This build lets you take lv0 frames basically anywhere.

This build(without Aura) gets me 40% duration Energy Vampire that lasts 3.6 seconds and is worth 55 energy per pulse and costs 25 energy to cast. 220 energy every 4 seconds or so within 36 meters of the target, assuming I can chain cast it on cooldown. This build would let everyone else run without efficiency mods, and with max Blind Rage, and still spam ults all day.

There's also all sorts of in-between builds to keep Blessing up while also having a useful Energy Vampire. Trinity's pretty neat with how different her builds all are, but some of her powers really need work. Well of Life specifically. That thing is still just awful.

The worst part is when they start speedrunnning towards the end, with little regard for people who get downed or got hosed by a swarm of Grineer at the end, and will deliberately pass by downed players. At least there's usually only one of them, so you can waltz out of the extraction point to stop the timer,
