That gift really isn't all that bad.

It's a bit of sentimentality from a guy who spends most of his existence rapped up in his own nonsense so that's something.

I think it would have been more sentimental if it were from the night they signed their first contract or something. The fact that it was basically from a random night that only later gained significance months/years later is what freaked Ron out. Basically Ron is saying it creeped him out because Fez has been in love with him since the first night they met.

Fez presents rule . My favorite was when he got Ron a towel warmer that just made Ron's towels damp when he got out of the shower.

It's really something you have to hear the story to get the full context.

Ron was just some guy doing standup at some mall. He came up to Fez's table, all hosed up, after the show to try to pick up Fez's friend.
They didn't know each other. They weren't colleagues or co-workers. They didn't work together until years later.

For Fez to pick up a pack of matches on that night and hold on to them for twenty+ years and then think it was an appropriate gift to give Ron...he's legit crazy.

So its the same show, but Fez was on his meds for one day, and Hicks has been demoted because he's been doing a poo poo job lately. Also Shelby is back.

edit: Also ending with Satellite of Love...still

Not bad.

The story is crazy and I can get behind the payoff. Honestly, it's loving crazy after one layer of thinking that their whole relationship could've been Fez just stalking Ron and manipulating their whole relationship.

No idea on On Demand, but Ron specifically said there will be no replays of the show on the channel.

Word. He could have easily made it less creepy by saying something like "Hey I saved this matchbook from the place when I had my first stand up act as a memento, but it's also where I met you and you had your first break in comedy, thought you'd appreciate it." Hell that could actually be the true story and Fez made up the "I grabbed it the first night I met you" to make it ~*~extra special~*~ and now won't back down.

Probably because he figured out that everybody wasn't wailing on him about Fez. Fez is legitimately in love with Ron.

Jim Norton is the guest on the latest Nerdist podcast. It's a pretty good ep. They talk about chess for loving ever though... but it's entertaining. For once in a while Norton is passionate talking about something that isn't race relations or political correctness or whatever.

By the way, I haven't heard Ron and Fez in maybe 4 months. Is it basically just Ron and Pepper like it has been for a while ... is it still in stasis? Did Black Earl show up lately or anything else interesting like that happen? Any huge guests? Someone sum it up again for me. (Yes, I read the OP)

They moved channels.
It's a cluster gently caress.
Pepper has been moved into the Al Dukes/Black Earl incompetent producer role.
Classic Shelb has been hired full time.
Fez talks more but it isn't funny or in the Fez voice.
There's a laundry list of comics scheduled to come in but nobody takes Ron's lead so it will degenerate into the same format of interviews/sports talks.

That's about it.

What an uncomfortable loving show that was. The only time it started to sound normal was when Jim Florentine came in, but even then it just descended into sports talk for the last hour or so.

It'll probably smooth out in a couple weeks, and it was nice to hear Fez pipe up without being prompted or just to have some of that... gay talk. Love the fact they hired Shelby, but I think he's probably going to gently caress up big time again. He shat on a caller the first loving day the same way he got himself booted off the show the first time.

PS. Thank loving god Dana wasn't available to be hired.

That sounds pretty great (Nerdist) + Florentine joining in on R&Z. But I've really been waiting for O&A's return. I always read this thread for updates before listening out of habit. Was O&A back to full steam? I was hoping they got either some regular comics or an A-B List celebrity in.

A long form of Jim obsessing about chess sounds hilarious actually. Was talking out my rear end, but actually going to listen to that tomorrow: http://www.nerdist.com/podcast/nerdist/

I was slightly wrong. I posted my comment about Jim's episode before it finished. It absolutely dissolves into Jim talking about being PC in the last third. Still an interesting mashup of Nerdist/O&A. Chris and Jim at least didn't talk about being sober for more than a couple minutes.

Fez should have been fired before they moved to Raw Dog. The trial period is stupid. Fez would have been gone and a new audience could have been exposed to the show without all the references to Fez.
