Besides, even if it turns out all of America has a grip on reality are a bunch of sinful moochers, we can be saved by the firm and tight extremely masculine Russians, Israel, and the various South American countries that actually let rich people do anything they want are welcoming to job creators and "the makers" class.

So I'm watching a documentary about environmental deregulation during the Bush years, and this loving sign suddenly crops up.
For background, this is about a water dispute in a tiny rear end town. Environmentalists and Native American fishermen wanted to keep alive an endangered population, a bunch of farmers wanted to keep spitting in nature's face and farming on otherwise dry as gently caress land. Big shocker, Freep shows up for the farmer's side.
I mean, I mentally understand that free republic has been around for a while but it's loving weird to see evidence of it. That they keep on trucking through the years when other online communities die off in droves is astounding. They got some strong hate in them.

If you know where to look, you can purchase the food stamp cards in many grocery store parking lots or on a side street near a liquor store.

I remember there being quite a bit of actual debate on creationism in Freep's past. What have dozens of purges and echo chamber discussion resulted in?

Evolutionists see a record of a time before our creation and try force it into a mold that excludes God.

There are still some level heads in there putting up a fight for evolution (and more that are at least willing to compromise and reject young-earth creationism) but you can tell the position has generally fallen out of favor.
