Anyone in the Octopus City Blues tester tier ($15 or higher on Kickstarter) have a high res monitor? The latest alpha is for testing out full screen and resolution scaling, but as far as I can tell it's just me and one or two other people trying out the builds on the forums. The creator seemed to appreciate the 1080p screenshots I took, and I was wondering if anyone here had something higher res and could get some nice screencaps. The game seems to be shaping into something pretty special.

Great looking game, but that font has got to go. Unless it's just me...but it seems difficult to read. Meanwhile, La Mulana 2 isn't funded yet. How pathetic that pipe-dream garbage that will never see the light of day gets overfunded and Nigoro (with a proven track record) seems like it won't hit many stretch goals. Nothing about anything in the scene pops and it makes it hard to look at. And I think La Mulana 2 will make it but you can't really argue that the first isn't a niche title. But is this Kickstarter focused solely on American audiences? Didn't the first game originally release in Japan?

At least we have a female character in Kingdom Come now. I already backed Unsung Story, but they've got ten days to make something 140k and their funding rate slammed to all but a complete halt weeks ago.

Make sure to read "risks and challenges", that is some Timecube poo poo right there.

Stay Classy guys I guess it's possible that they downloaded Unity, bought some assets, followed some tutorials, and decided that they're ready to make the next zombie apocalypse heartbreaker. I mean when I was in elementary school my buddies and I wanted to make the next Doom and we got so pumped and when I got home I opened up QBasic and typed 10 PRINT "DOOM" and then just started at it for a while since I didn't know what to do next. These guys could be like that except that they're art of the Kickstarter generation so their Kickstarter comes before the "uhhhhhh" part.

Endeavor is at least an honest attempt at an indie MMO thing. It's a voxel based MMO blah de blah - could be cool, but I can't see them delivering on it for $80k. This same pitch, with MMO exchanged in favor of "multiplayer," with a focus on setting up your own persistent servers for friends and family? THAT is a compelling pitch. But no. They slammed MMO in there, because all first game ideas are MMOs now or something. EDIT: Oh lord, and the planned retail price is $35, and the first unlimited tier that gets you the game is $30. Come on guys, just... this is SO close to a good pitch. Shalinor fucked around with this message at 16:14 on Feb 5, 2014 |

So Horse Online dude: My wife is really into horses and was telling me about this cool sounding kickstarter she saw in a horse magazine (I'm assuming it's a magazine for horses to read). So if you accept horse coins, you'll be rolling in the horse money! Also, it's really cool that it's generating hype outside of the Internet world.
