Now that we have goats, I wonder if Azz will decide to come visit us every once in awhile. Also, has it registered with anyone that we've doubled the number of slaves (plus or minus 1) we own? We've got Team Claydiggers, and now Team Livestock. Also: Question for Diog: What will Jalitha's living situation be? Will she stay at Tudiya's since she's the head of his kitchen staff, or does she move in with us since we're her son and therefore responsible for her?

Likely the latter, given what we heard about males caring for unmarried female relatives. Especially since we are likely closer to a position to finance a mom run seaweed cake factory/inn.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got a minivote to decide though. I'm figuring as far as household residents go, we're going to have: - Ourselves. Duh. - Naomi. Also duh. - Snarls. The final duh. - The slaves that came with our livestock. - Danal. He may not officially live with us, but I wouldn't be surprised if he spends a lot of time hanging out. - Jalitha - Probably, as mentioned above. We should finish the Dong Jar and keep it as a family heirloom.

We should sell the dong jar and buy a better, less bio-hazardy family heirloom. Also: Heirs may end up being hard to come by.

If Tudiya allows us, we should definitely sell the Dong Jar. To Indor.

Sogol posted:- Asahel probably I'd be cool with Billy hanging around as long as he lost the slave brands like we think he possibly may have. If he hasn't, it's probably safer for him to stay with Paebel, since we're higher profile and he'll be way more likely to be noticed in our house. I doubt Indor will have any use for our dong jar. Fresh monster wang, she could probably work with, but ours are pretty old. Hell, not counting the ogre one we just got, our freshest one is at least 2 months old and poorly preserved. Whoever buys it is likely going more for novelty value than any actual practical use.

paragon1 posted:I think people will notice who gets sold The Tip Jar. And besides, would Indor even want it? I think she's mentioned some foreskins being useful for potions, though not which. I'd presume goblin foreskins, the majority of the jar, wouldn't count for much. Agreed on it being a bit suspicious if she suddenly ends up with a big ol' jar of foreskins, though. Also for what it's worth, I think it's been mentioned that the Tip Jar will be considered more valuable as a whole collection by those seeking rare and exotic sacrifices - Indor presumably wouldn't give a drat about that.

We take our Balls out on another excursion. Get the 100 foreskins and give it to daddy anyway. Get fresher monster bits for Indor.

I don't know if Diog or Sojenus are answering questions about Elesian society, but I have a question(s). QUESTION(s): Please make a cultural bonus update about adoption or answer my question. How does adoption work? Do we go to the slave market? Do we put out an ad? Do we go to farmers or families with too many mouths to feed? Do we go to an orphanage at the temple of El? Do we make a contract in clay? What age are adoptees usually? I guess Sojenus can answer the question or talk about adoption in his abyss dictatorship.

Obviously we need to venture forth into demon-claimed lands and rescue a child from cannibals. Thus the cycle can continue.

The solution is clear: Adopt a demon as our child.

Mr. Wednesday posted:Obviously we need to venture forth into demon-claimed lands and rescue a child from cannibals. Thus the cycle can continue. You know, I think I'd be fine with us raising a brood of demon-saved children. That being said, there is one practical issue - we went along with Tudiya somewhat grudgingly only because our nanny who was consistently nice to us raised with tales of El, our father was abusive, and the other kids at the village unfriendly, and STILL we had a crisis of faith that eventually resulted in our attempting to summon the power of Asherah, not to mention lingering urges to eat our first real friend and whatnot. How do we stop that from happening when we go out to essentially kidnap a kid who presumably was not raised by an El-worshiper and who might actually have close ties to their community?

Gather all children of Zepath under the age of 4 in the main square. Slave, non-slave, all children. Have them stand in a circle, with us in the middle. Throw our lucky knife as high as we can in the air, and whomever the knife points at is now our child. If the knife hits a child, truly El is showing us he grants us favor in our selection!

If you can't play nice with the other kids on the playground, you won't get to use it. If I have to explain what this means, maybe you should reconsider why you are here.
