Years ago some music was gifted to SA an album (I think it was his cousin's or brother's band or something) that had some great songs. I believe the band's name was Undersound. I kept and listened to it for years, but somehow it got lost on the way. Does anyone happen to recall this? I can't find any record of it anywhere and would love to get a hold of the songs somehow. It's possible they changed their name.

I think this might be royalty-free music used in a lot of videos, but no video I ever find that uses it seems to credit the song creator so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=YmB-MYH3_1Q#t=101 Edit: Found it, Kevin MacLeod - The Complex Tenkaris fucked around with this message at 13:12 on Mar 9, 2014 |

I'm trying to identify a song I heard on the radio in a cafe recently. It sounds a bit like Ride or The Jesus and Mary Chain - male British singer, probably from the early-mid 80s to early-mid 90s The lyrics contain the phrase "million miles" rhymed on the next line with "smiles" Then a short while later, there's the phrase "judged by" Googling these doesn't turn anything up

Looking for a song. It's playing at my work at low volume so real sense of what he sings and no one has a clue on my job. It's a slow song, where I think the the person singing it sings: "Uma we, Uma we, My intuition." It has a bit of an African sound, I think? Any help would be nice.

It's not The Tokens' The Lion Sleeps Tonight, is it (or one of the other versions of the song)? Has an African sound, and the chanting section fits a bit with what you typed out, except I guess the 'my intuition' part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0iw89L6aFo Detective Thompson fucked around with this message at 02:42 on Mar 11, 2014 |

Looking for a song and video. Down-tempo electronic, kind of creepy. Featured people in animal masks with smoke coming out of them in ultra-slow motion. I heard something else that reminded me of it and now I want to see it again.

That kind of stuff always has a billion different vaguely douchey subgenre names, from lo-fi to chillwave to ambient hip hop. Trying to find more music by genre name is a bit of a hassle. The Wikipedia page for XXYYXX says "His style was also likened to Clams Casino, Zomby, Burial, James Blake and The Weeknd. His musical influences include Lapalux, Star Slinger, Disclosure and Shlohmo." That would be a place to start.

Does anyone know the song that fades in around 31:40 and goes to 32:00 in this program? IIRC it's late 80s/early 90s electronic (dunno what genre you'd call it) and it's a somewhat well-known track. I've heard it before but I don't remember where.

I heard some song on the radio this week and it is driving me insane trying to find it. It sounded as if the chorus was a guy saying "Casio O O O O O O Please Don't leave me". This was on BBC Radio 1. I tried google and must get this loving ear worm out of my head.

I don't live in the UK but a while back an artist I liked was being played on UK radio a lot and that's when I learned that BBC1 always has a list of what they have in rotation. I checked the list here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist And on it was a song called "Cassy O'". After listening to it in another tab and flipping back, I can't believe that the lead singer looks like that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubztYMkI3fY Superrodan fucked around with this message at 21:37 on Mar 15, 2014 |

Yeah I used the list of songs played and searched a couple weeks worth to find it. That is the song. I was also suprised by his voice not matching his looks. My wife pointed out how the song sounds like I wanna be your teddy bear by Elvis and I get an Elvis vibe from this guy a good bit as well.

Help me goons, you're my only hope. My little brother has reminded me of a song, I believe called "Checkmate," that I had on a tape in the late 80's or early 90's. The music was thrash/metal/rap, in the style of Biohazard and suchlike. Metal thrash arrangement, rap lyrics. I don't remember a drat thing about the lyrics except them building to a crescendo at the bridge to the chorus something something put him in CHECKMAAAAAAATEEEEEEEE CHECKMAAAAAAATEEEEEEEE CHECKMAAAAAAATEEEEEEEE Any other old farts remember this? edit: my brother found it. Trying to remember the name of some generic electronic/trance track from the 90s. All I've got to go on is that it's got piano in it at one point, and the music video is simply lots of footage of lava.
