A Pinball Wizard posted:what did he post first PSR J1748-2446ad From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia PSR J1748-2446ad is the fastest-spinning pulsar known, at 716 Hz (period being 0.00139595482(6) seconds).[2] This pulsar was discovered by Jason W. T. Hessels of McGill University on November 10, 2004 and confirmed on January 8, 2005. It has been calculated that the neutron star contains slightly less than two times the mass of the Sun, which is approximately the same for all neutron stars. Its radius is constrained to be less than 16 km. At its equator it is spinning at approximately 24% of the speed of light, or over 70,000 km per second. The pulsar is located in a globular cluster of stars called Terzan 5, located approximately 18,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Sagittarius. It is part of a binary system and undergoes regular eclipses with an eclipse fraction of about 40%. Its orbit is highly circular with a 26 hour period. The other object is about 0.14 solar masses, with a radius of 5–6 solar radii. Hessels states that the companion may be a "bloated main-sequence star, possibly still filling its Roche Lobe". Hessels goes on to speculate that gravitational radiation from the pulsar might be detectable by LIGO. In popular culture PSR J1748-2446ad is referenced in xkcd comic #1331.[3]

my mom used to work for chi-chis when i was in grade school. she had to go in early on mondays to do payroll or something, so she would bring me and my younger brother in at 5am, sit us down with some cereal, turn cartoons on the tv over the bar, then go back into the office to work. my brother and i would immediately get up and start running around the restaurant, daring each other to go in the girls bathroom, stealing tons of andes mints and eating maraschino cherries in handfuls right out of the big jar they kept behind the bar. so yeah i can totally see that happening.

The Jackson 5ive (TV series) "Rasho-Jackson" In an eerie precognition of future events, "Rasho-Jackson" depicts the Jackson brothers becoming alienated after an argument by their stalled car and refusing to perform with each other ever again, all becoming "The Jackson Ones." Intended to be a parody of the Japanese artistic film Rashomon, each brother tells his own version of events, all the while trying to depict himself as the self-sacrificing hero who saves the day. Ironically, the episode sort of predicts how the Jackson phenomenon would end in twenty years. Berry Gordy is depicted bringing the brothers back together again. Songs: "One More Chance", "I Found That Girl"
