The funny thing is he's still crazy over enough that you couldn't get anywhere near him for an autograph at Wrestlemania.

They should really just legitimize the Internet Championship, let him defend it in dark matches and feud segments that only show up on WWE.com and the Network, and everyone gets their way: He gets his fan following and legitimacy, and WWE doesn't have to put him on TV and can tell him he's spearheading a new era in wrestling.

I mean he's complaining about not being used or pushed and how his dream is to be champion and all that, but he's never been that good either in the ring or on the mic to the point where he should be at that level. Granted others worse than him have been champion, but that doesn't exactly fix the problem.

Well, he certainly doesn't give a gently caress if he cuts his arm bleeding.

Wait, how do you cut your arm bleeding? Is his blood sharp?

You can be cut and not bleed. The phrasing is poetic licence to fit the rhyme and metre of the rhythm chosen. So, unravelling the phrasing to a more normative English, he does not care if he is cut deeply enough to cause blood loss, and from surrounding lyrics, one can surmise that this is due to the singer being in an emotional state of either extreme depression or anger, such that endorphins from the pain of a deep cut still would have no effect on his emotional state, though such a practice is often engaged in by youths unmedicated in an attempt to feel better.

One can conjecture that the singer is so depressed from sobering up and realizing he slept with your mom.

I really liked the song they did that Raw used as a theme for a while. To Be Loved I think. It had a cool beat and good "these guys are fighting," lyrics.

Burn is also a really good song.

That song had terrible lyrics for a wrestling show. Why would you kick the show off with someone singing about how they wanted to be loved?

1) Smackdown's theme for years was Manson's "Beautiful People."

2) I was talking about the verse lyrics. The ones about domination, submission, having a jet black heart, etc.

ECW during the InVasion, then again when it was the third brand until two days after Benoit killed his family. It was replaced by the original ECW theme for a week, then replaced with something else that evidently was very forgettable.

Edit: actually, two days after the PPV Benoit missed after killing his family.

I got out of wrestling around the time of the famous Mankind/Undertaker match, and then got back into it at Wrestlemania 20 (and was blown away by the HBK/Benoit/Angle match). Anyway, the theme I remember from Raw and from a PS2 game out around the same time was the one with "Now get the guns, the drugs, from my generation" which rocked.

For the longest time, I heard this song as "Now get the guns, the drugs, we're watching a-wrestling." In any event, given the lovely personal lives of many wrestlers, seems like a bad idea to have theme music talking about guns and drugs.

Yeah you're exactly right. I was confusing it with the HBK/Angle match which also dominated.

I also would have never bet a song with guns/drugs in the main lyrics would have been chosen but hey it was a catchy song.

They did alter the vocals so he said "Now get the guns, the jurrrgs" in the Raw theme version. Much like he'd say "Move to the music, play that fnnkin' music".

Very good call dude, I forgot all about the "move to the music, play that funkin music" part, which I must say was a great transition between the main theme and the pyros/"WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW"

Sorry, but yeah they are. They're lovely, terrible metal, but they're still metal. Nu-Metal is still metal.

But arguing what is and isn't a specific genre of music leads nowhere but coming up with genres like "post-punk power pop thrash core" so let's both just shut the gently caress up about this right now.
