Metropolis also doesn't have the fat stacks of cash larger, non-scene labels would have.

Project Pitchfork are back at Infest this year. Somehow last time they played I managed to drunkenly miss their entire set aside from the encore, so I'm going to try not to do that this time!

I'm disappointed I missed them at Kinetik last year. Wish they were on the (Toronto) bill this year. They're pretty much the last band on my bucket-list at this point.

edit: not electro-industrial, but I saw Ned's Atomic Dustbin in London last year, knocking off the other last band. Holy poo poo what a show. Never seen such a crazy concert pit, and my fiance and me were probably the youngest people there at 27 & 31.

Yup. I went from british-indie to electro-industrial in my major musical tastes. Brief spurt of 90s techno in between.

I guess we need a full blown Trot created EBM project to counter act all the Neo-folk discussion in this thread.

Well gently caress ME Front Line Assembly is FINALLY playing in Finland this summer and if all goes according to plan I'll be in Germany when it happens :cripes:

On the other hand if all goes according to plan I'll get to see Project Pitchfork play in a loving castle and possibly have the chance to make a short trip to WGT to catch FLA and some other bands, so there's that. But I just really wanted to see FLA's first (I think?) Finnish gig :qq:

Edit: this will be the third time I'll have to miss one of my favorite bands playing in Finland due to me being in Germany. FLA gets to join KMFDM and Covenant. It's kinda significant in a way because we just don't get bands like these here all that often.

Edit: Woah, looks like Laibach is playing Spectre pretty much in its entirety apart from The Parade and Just Say No! on their current tour. What a bummer they're skipping Finland this time around :(

Here's some baseless speculation for the UK goons but Ambassador21 just posted tour dates on Facebook with two mystery dates where the location is TBA. The first of which is 23/08/14, possibly playing infest?

Yeah, pretty much! There was kind of a buildup, they performed the most interesting songs (i.e. the good old ones) towards the end. Only in the encore there was "Tanz mit Laibach" and a few other oldies, and that was clearly what the crowd got the most excited about. They can apparently still do it, they just don't want to...
I saw them and it was a bit artsy and incoherent, but I guess it came together a bit at the end. They really could have made a better show out of the new album though.

Speaking of Laibach- Spectre is pretty loving good isn't it?

I only saw them once. It was for the Jesus Christ Superstars tour in a little art gallery outside of Detroit. I think there were maybe 100 people there. It was both awesome and sad.

Apparently Psyclon Nine's drummer and guitarist have both quit.

I was surprised that they got another album out after the whole debacle of not shipping merchandise because Nero was having a serious drug problem, and now the exact same thing is happening again and his bandmates decided it was the last straw.
