Oh man, that part with Starfire's outfit was gold. Robin getting knocked out the window, Raven's cloak being acceptable, it all felt so natural and perfect  Too bad we can't see grandma cyborg comment on the comic versions.

Loosely based. I think it's most from the first run, which i hear was good though i can't tell you how long it was, but a good chunk's also just made up. Starfire has never been close to resembling the animated versions, for the much worse, and Cyborg's animated design is miles ahead of any comic version. There was also the time when Robin was gonna marry Starfire and had sex with Batgirl when he went to invite her to the wedding (giving her the invitation the morning after), the wedding was halted because Raven went evil all of the sudden. Like if you want more Teen Titans (tv series) you can snag the comics; some is rehashes and some is new. Several Teen Titan Go! episode are lifted from the comic (like the Raven Emoticlones) and the deformed style of the characters comes from the border art and stuff from the comic. It is also, unabashedly better than any Teen Titans Comic since probably the 70s. As you've seen above do not touch the main-line Teen Titans comic. It is dreadful beyond all measure and it has been so since the 80s.

Speaking of the Teen Titans Go comic, it's important to note that it's not immune to this kind of poo poo either. I remember one of the early issues had Beast Boy and Starfire's clothes being vaporized to break them of Mad Mod's hypnosis (or something equally stupid), so she just wandered around naked for the rest of the comic.

I started watching this and it's really funny. I love that it's a straight sitcom set in the DC Universe. Some of these episode ending are pretty dark though. Tower Power and Ghostboy especially.

drat, Raven is extreme alright. The whole pirate thing felt a bit too random, but we did get the booty joke out of it. The way Aqualad treated his sea animals, I can see Robin doing the same, haha.
