You can tell she's been hanging out with David Byrne, but she doesn't really have the same charisma to pull it off and make it seem natural. I'm not hating too hard: her performance is awesome aside from that This is the way I and a few friends felt after seeing her live. She sounds amazing on an album, but it doesn't seem to transfer over to a live performance very well. Her choreography is neat too, but it feels forced to me, like it isn't really her.

It's not necessarily bad, just a bit awkward and forced, like she's trying too hard to be 'weird'. Maybe that's the point though

I'm with you on I Can Hear, and yeah I do think May I Sing With Me is underrated, but I've never thought Painful was boring. I would add Fade to the canon, it's not only their best album in a decade but just plain one of their best albums period.

If people like la roux, they should check out fort romeau who does keyboards for la roux on tour. His more recent stuff hasn't been amazing, but his first album kingdoms was really good.
