I would say that the plot of the TV Fargo is a lot more engaging than the plot of the film Fargo, though I think much of that is due to the show having a lot longer to let things develop (and get craaaaaaaaazy). Also, the plots are very different, despite starting out seemingly very similar. The TV show goes in a completely different direction for the most part. e: ^^^^ The Man From Nowhere is also a terrific, usually underrated Coen Bros. flick. Black noir? Is that a genre?

^^^Really? No go on Hudsucker? drat, don't tell me I'm out on a limb here. I mean, aside from Irish Joe. As for Intolerable Cruelty, there's a couple of inspired gags in it (Wheezy Joe), but on the whole it's definitely one of their lesser efforts. The Hudsucker Proxy is my go-to favorite. There's an intoxicating, beautiful energy to that film, and it makes me want to track down the movies it paid homage to. It helps that Carter Burwell went all in with his score; seriously, LISTEN TO THAT, especially his arrangements of Spartacus and Phrygia and Gayane. That crescendo is epic and grossly overlooked.

Keep it like American Horror Story where you have this group of actors playing different roles. I remember when True Detective started Alan Sepinwall was saying how he'd almost like to see a version of the show where Harrelson and McCoughnay reverse their roles, which I think would be really interesting to see. I'd like to see that pairing again because they work so well together.

Burn After Reading is hands down their funniest film, and is pretty fuckin' amazing. Malkovich, Pitt, Frances, and Clooney all just killed it. William H. Macy and JK Simmons' cameos are brilliant.

Gave TVLand's "Jennifer Falls" a shot. Not too bad, definitely laughed in a few place. If you're finding your comedy schedule is a bit light going into the summer, I'd give it a shot. Fun cameo in the opening scene too.

Speaking of Harry Potter alumni, Draco Malfoy is going to be in this "event" series on TNT, and it...doesn't look horrible? It's got a solid cop background anyway, since Steven Bochco of NYPD Blue pedigree cowrote most of, if not all of, the episodes.

Yeah, Daniel Radcliffe realized somewhere around the fourth or fifth Harry Potter movie that he needed to step up his acting game. He was much better in the last few Harry Potter movies and has been hitting it out of the park since (crappy horror movies aside, though I've heard he does as well as he can with the material). Actually, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have also been great in what I've seen them in besides Harry Potter. I'm still annoyed that the Greg Garcia series with Grint as a wannabe superhero (and also starred Stephen Fry) didn't get picked up. Honestly, I can't think of anyone in the Harry Potter movies that wasn't already a respectable actor or became known as one afterward. Still strange as hell seeing David Tennant in the fourth movie.
