Well, repetitive is one thing, especially in-game, but I'm rather partial to The Mystery in Your Town myself. A Sacred Lot is the worst Touhou song I can think of off the top of my head. I also really like A Mystery in Your Town, much more than Infinite Nightmare in fact, but I've never found an arrangement of it that I liked. For me, the worst song is Lonesome Werewolf- it just sounds too derivative of previous bosses' themes to me. Every other track has something to like about it, even if I have to listen a few times to properly get its hook. Even, the worst among them is just forgettable- but goddamn, Lonesome Werewolf just seems like ZUN decided to mashup a bunch of his previous work and call it a day. Seriously, was he extra sober or something when he wrote it? I like how the chapter's basically about Reimu's internal conflict between being and completely apathetic about the villagers being scared of their own shadows and just wanting to beat up some youkai for the slightest hint of a reason. What a deep and compelling character. Also, Moe Harukawa draws some tiny-rear end kappas, which I guess makes sense what with them being Japan's imps. All in all her design takes on the characters and youkai in general are probably my favorite part of the manga.

So what's the deal with Koishi's Heart Throbbing Adventure? I watched it all for the first time this morning, and thought it was pretty solid until like, part 9. The art style changed at that point, and everything started to become really slow and mediocre. The story started to go into complete nonsense, the episodes started being shortened to 1-4 minutes when before they were pretty consistent at hitting 10-12 minutes, the action seemed to die down... Did the author just get sick of it? I was wondering at the start why the last two episodes weren't translated and why a lot of the later parts took forever to get translated, and I fully understand why now. It's a shame, I thought he had a pretty amazing thing going there at first.
