I thought their first LP straight up sucked but the EP they put out on Deathwish was good. Haven't listened to the new one yet. Everything about the packaging and design is very, very corny but I guess that's kinda their thing.

Yeah, I've kind of liked the earlier stuff but it always felt kind of disappointing given who's in the band. This new album is really good though, it grabbed me straight away.

Really? That new LP is boring as hell compared to the debut, and the debut isn't as good as the EP.

S.H.I.T. has a new 7" and they continue to be one of the best hardcore bands at the moment, total fury and weirdness: http://whatwedoissecrete.bandcamp.com/album/generation-poo poo-7

and if you are in the south/east, go see another one of the best active hardcore bands (and best dudes) gay kiss open for off! who are touring with dale crover on drums: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/that-off--melvins-supergroup-you-never-saw-coming

It's really cool that Off! are taking bands like NASA and Gay Kiss on tour. I hope all the Gay Kiss dudes have cool Keith Morris stories when they get back from tour.

I once heard someone call a band "emo-violence." Both of those things are dope but, goddamn, why would you call something that?

It might have been United Nations they were referring to actually. Really want their new album, but like, "$12 LP" want it. Not "$40 2 7"s, a 10", and a cassette" want it. I do think it's pretty funny they're wrapping the cassettes in cease and desist letters though.

I like the Gas Rag seven inches more but it's still sweet. Beach Impediment is releasing the Blood Pressure 7 inch on Tuesday. If you like rippin hardcore punk from members of Brain Handle/Government Warning/and a bunch more sweet bands then you should order it on Tuesday.

Here's his soundcloud with a bunch of sweet songs on it including one Blood Pressure song to preview the new record.

hosed Up were insane last night. Weed were a pretty lovely opener and I was growing impatient because the show started late, but Pink Eyes just brought the energy up 12 levels. During Black Albino Bones he walked all across the whole venue with the microphone, standing on tables and at the bar. I got on stage during The Other Shoe, too.

Ugh, I really don't like the direction they took after Frank left. They have had a few good songs but I just am not that into this kind of hardcore. I liked their more punk stuff.

Anyway, I've been going back and listening to the discographies of Pennywise and The Vandals, and there is some good stuff. Pennywise has a few really good albums, and the Vandals loving own. I don't know how I never listened to Live Fast, Diarrhea before, but it rules. So does their Christmas album.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8X0sYpENco

I love that they did a style parody of crass about the commercialization of christmas, this is the most hilarious thing. Also,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2XDVha5BcE

owns because I am a huge Bad Religion fan. Their newer stuff isn't the best but it's still good.

EDIT: This is in preparation for the Summer Nationals tour on August 7th in Toronto. gently caress yeah. Then Propagandhi is playing on Monday the 11th, that is gonna be an awesome week.
