I am very curious about this little crescendo
Same for ITV, they start at 14:00 UK/15:00 local
NBC seem to be starting at 8:00 ET/13:00 UK/14:00 local

No point going on air any earlier really.

What's going on here? Is sky trying to manage two talented riders and Froome gets dibs on stuff?

I think the only stage I see consistently start to end is the finale. Watching the maillot jaune smoke cigars and drink champagne while riding into Paris is thrilling.

ITV had coverage of the first 2 stages in Yorkshire from start to finish and it was quite nice getting to see a break form for once.

We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

Some of the big mountain stages occasionally have early coverage too but there's much more likely to be stuff going on then

Anyone think Nibali might have a go over the top and just descend like a mad man today?

Cat 4 isn't going to be enough of a descent to give him any serious time but i think sagan may well launch off it

Yeah. I remember stage 18 last year when they had to climb Alpe d'Huez twice. That was a loving stage. There was early coverage in USA for that stage.

That Israel tourism ad on Eurosport is pissing me off something awful. "Once in a lifetime be at the places... where it all began". That's Africa, mates

Ha yeah. And the road behind the summit was almost a goat track. It's the sort of thing they'd only do for very special occasions, like the centenary last year.

Last 50km, less than a minute gap for the break.

Again, the belgian commentators were talking about how Froome claimed in his book that he was given the freedom in 2012 to race as fast as he could and then how both wiggo or steven de jong claimed they knew nothing about that.

They said that if that was true, Sky is a horrible managed team.

Talansky missed the guy coming from his left I think. Might want to have more situational awareness if you're going to sprint needlessly.
