Ive never understood the love for Araabmuzik. What are considered his best cuts? Everything i hear from him is pretty ho-hum.

When he first came out he had those videos of him doing fast poo poo on the MPC which were cool. He uses a lot of cymbals in his beats which I like (reminded me of Just Blaze and that real flashy NY sound), but he never really got any better than when he first came out and his gimmick of having a lot of poo poo going on in songs got old and never translated to better music.

e; He also did a lot of beats for Joe Budden's A Loose Quarter which was really good, we'll just say this was his best poo poo

Despite all the bucket hats, show was actually unbelievable somehow. I guess I'm a fan now?

Apathy of course kills it, but great track and video overall I think. The bridge reminds me of mid-2000s Eminem, which is a bit odd but it works.

You wouldn't think that some depressed kid with a tumblr rapping about nintendo games and iced tea would make for a pleasurable listening experience, but the beats are on point, and his newer material isn't as poorly executed. Its hard to believe that Kyoto has over 2 million views. I wouldnt have expected that when all of his videos were still in the five figure range, judging by his original mixtape.

Yeah the beats are definitely the highlight. Honestly I didn't expect the kid to have any stage presence at all, especially after watching the videos but he absolutely rocked the show.

It hasn't really been a stellar year for rap albums or tapes unless you like Gucci... Trap House 4 and Brick Factory are both pretty good. Migos No Label II was nice also.

As far as albums... Madgibbs was disappointing after so many delays but the first 1/2 or so at least is worth getting it for. Future - Honest, rick ross -
Mastermind, Q - oxymoron are all solid but nothing amazing. Ab's album sucked. Probably the best rap album so far in 2014 is YG's my krazy life.

Tracks on the other hand, there have been some bangers for sure. I am on my phone so i will let someone else post links. Some of my favorites that come to mind are Old English, Seen It All, and that Jay Electronica+Hov song i forget the name of...

I really enjoyed Piñata, I found it to be a huge improvement from ESGN (which I also liked but I know wasn't well received). In a lot of the songs there was this masterful contrast between the beat and lyrical content/delivery. I also found the features to be well thought out (except mac miller because he had no business being on that album). I wasn't really on here when it dropped so I hate to ask this, but I'd love to know why you weren't to into it. I also didn't know it was coming out until right before it did, so that might also be a contributing factor to why I enjoyed it so much.

Jeezy did an interview on hotnewhiphop.com about Gibbs. At work right now but the summary is Jeezy personally told Gibbs he can't afford to fund him anymore but he was gonna help however he could, said that convo was cool and walked away thinking thing were ok. He hears the disses and is surprised and he refues to respond.

Even if that's true, which I could well believe, Gibbs still needs to move on from the Jeezy disses.
