The first update to Dwarf Fortress in 2 years has provided a number of changes, improvements, and new bugs. But old enemies have risen again, from around us, above us, even beneath our feet. They have decided to band together to destroy our fortress, Lynchblood, from the inside, wearing cheaply-made Dwarf costumes in order to blend in amongst us. They will destroy our fort if we let them.

And as always, no one's quite sure what the nobles are up to...

Another big, dumb game from... who is she again? Oh, wait, it's the poster formerly known as The Leper Colon V! That's right, assholes, after over half a year of sanity, a username change, and a switch in pronouns, this dumbass has decided to play and run Mafia again! Like before, I can't promise the games will be balanced, but I can promise that I try to keep them all interesting!

This is going to be a game for 21 players, and will be a bit more down-to-earth (dohoho) than Pokemonfia was. The thread won't be open at night, and this isn't a role madness, game but it's definitely going to get a bit weird. Just talk to me if you need clarification on something, and don't cheat at internet party games, mmkay?

Set-Up Info

This is a borderline role-madness game. It's more subdued than my last game, but more than half of the players will have roles.
There will be flavor posts! Feel free to ignore them.
Neither my modposts nor your Role PMs will contain any lies. No Insane Cops or Death Millers.
There is a single role that could be seen as a Bastard Mod role, however, but I'm doing my best to mitigate the bastard-ish effects.
Dwarves win when all threats to Town have been eliminated.
Nobles claim to be aligned with Town, but who knows what they're actually up to?
Scum wins when they comprise at least 50% of the population, and no other groups who could control their dominance remain.
Any other alignment will have self-aligned win conditions. None will prematurely end the game, however.
Fakeclaims will be provided with the Role PM for all non-Town.

Time Limits/Deadlines

Nights will always be 24 hours. (Including Night 0, if applicable.)
Days 1-3 will be 48 hours.
Days 4-6 will be 24 hours, with an optional 24-hour ##extension given at majority vote (rounded up, as lynch).
Days 7+ will be 24 hours, no extensions.
There will be a twilight phase.
Twilight will extend for three hours after my modpost about the lynch being confirmed.
Twilight actions may be pre-loaded, if you're worried about missing the deadline.

Other

This is without a doubt going to be a bit unbalanced.
If you have any questions regarding your own role or actions, please send them via PMs.
Don't sperg too much about the exact specifics of whether or not a flavor fits the role. I did what I could to make it fit, but I'm not perfect.
No, seriously, please don't sperg. I'll be doing more than enough of that for everyone.
When signing up, let me know if you're open to getting the possibly-Bastard role.

Some big things you need to know:
1. Don't communicate about anything even tangentially game-related with any of the other players outside of this thread.
2. Don't use meta-rules or meta-plays. You won't really know what that is, so don't worry about it. It's something where you do a dumb thing like " :toxx:

I'm town or I'll get banned!", because that ruins the game for everyone.
3. Don't edit your posts. It wrecks havoc on going back to see what people said before, which is really the only way for town to solve anything. Use the preview button liberally, and just make another post if you have to.
4. When voting, bold it and put a double ## in front, so the votefinder can read it. Like, if you wanted to vote me, you'd put ##vote Poison Mushroom at the end of your post. Unvote can just be ##unvote.

(Biggest difference I've noticed so far -- none of the offline games I played in flipped the roles of dead players.)

if the town got an inordinate number of power roles or the scum team was relatively small to compensate i guess it could work, but the whole point of days progressing is to slowly get some info into the hands of the town to solve the puzzle which is completely impossible with no flips
