My absolute favorites have been Nick Swardson, David Spade, and Gilbert Gottfried. I can listen to any of those three now and be howling with laughter by the end.

As someone who hasn't paid any attention to the man since Black Sheep and Tommy Boy, I was pleasantly surprised by, at the very least, how well he interviews. His KMart Hat story, the Mother/Daughter Porn, and his Tales of SNL ("When will it be enough for Dana Carvey?") had me outright howling. I gotta check out his standup.

One of the head writers for the podcast is a funny young comic named Sean O'Connor and his album, James Dean Type, came out last week on A Special Thing Records. You should all check it out.

No, I'm not him, but I've seen him a couple times and have the CD. He's also one of Norm's openers on the road and, uh, one of the head writers for the show you all think is super funny so you'd probably dig him.

That was the best episode yet. It was interesting to hear the National Anthem from Rosanne herself. I've only seen clips of it on ESPN. Loved her description of the guys in the stands with their beers looking like the Taliban. Great show.

Harminoff posted:What's up with the Norm's painted nail? I'd imagine it's in the same vein as dressing up like a rap star for radio interviews or an eight year old decked out in Old Navy and zip-off pants when he does stand-up comedy. It's intentionally jarring and absurd.

Did norm tell some other guest's story as his own with that Larry King anecdote? I feel like Norm has being stealing stories right off the gusts from his show and I hope its true Also liked how Maron pulled some of Norm's moves on him MOVIE MAJICK fucked around with this message at 23:12 on Jul 22, 2014 |

Larry King interviewed Maron sometime (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM9llqYde-k) after their abrupt first encounter and it went really well; I think Marc actually referenced it during this episode of Norm Macdonald Live! which made me pause to go watch it in the first place. But I find it hilarious that in that interview, Larry King quotes Carl Reiner's short term memory loss gag and marvels about how funny Reiner still is, and that same joke is later broght up by Norm only for him to ruthlessly mock the poo poo out of it by mimicking how just how loving bored he was having to indulge an old man.

yeah Maron was really good on Norm and in that Larry King interview. Used to hate him, now I kinda love him. I love how Larry King just keeps on referencing Maron being late like it's their cute little thing together and Maron has to keep biting his tongue.

That bit about child death and Larry King mentioning how Paul Newman told him "you never get over it" has me in tears every time Norm tells it. loving hysterical. Larry King is such a prick (albeit an inimitable prick).
