MGR is great but it is by no means a shooter.

As for the original question: Try out Bullet Storm and Xeno Clash.

Also, as someone who did enjoy Diablo 3 when I played it sometime last year (although not as much as say, Titan Quest) and want more RPG goodness (although not necessarily the mindless sort that Diablo tends to be, but I'm not against it either), should I get the new expansion for it, or Divinity: Original Sin for $5 less? I'm kind of leaning towards Divinity, although that's mainly because I had forgotten that D3 actually got an expansion and that I don't know much about it.

Divinity is good, but its combat is 100% turn-based and heavily tactical. Don't get it if you're looking for an ARPG.

Huh, didn't realise it's turn-based. Still, I'm not really fussed either way. So I guess it's closer to Expeditions: Conquistador, than Diablo/Titan Quest?

Much closer to that sort of thing. You wander around and do things in real time, but as soon as something aggros it switches over to turn-based. It's a very good game for what it is. Funny dialogue, plenty of side-quests with different ways of completing them, and it's quite pretty. Story is kind of fantasy boilerplate, but not in that corruption, corruption, corruption rut Blizzard keeps falling into.

It's more like Fallout or (imagine a turnbased combat) Baldur's Gate than Expeditions.

You go do your thing and when enemies are near you'll go into turn based. Expeditions is more like Heroes of Might and Magic than DIvinity is to it.

Oh gosh, do I have to? I kind of forgot I even own Dragon Commander.

Isn't Divinity 2 some Skyrim poo poo, and Dragon Commander a RTS? Now this game is Baldur's Gate? What the gently caress?

Also are there any impressions of Vlad? I stumbled upon it somehow due to it's Choose Yer Own Adventure tag, and it actually kind of seems cool. Vampires and poo poo? There doesn't seem to be any mention of it in here and it just came out not long ago.

Divinity 2 is nothing like Skyrim. Dragon Commander is part RTS. It's weird.

I dont really like CYOA stuff, or most point and click adventures for that matter, and I hate QTEs with a passion, but I just played the first chapter of The Wolf Among Us and I'll be damned if it wasn't as good as everyone says it is.

Granted I read what there was of the comic series years ago and liked the world and characters then.

Just get Origin then, it's the best Ys game anyway and it'll ruin all other action rpgs for you because they'll all feel like slow motion

Man, the first four chapters of The Wolf Among Us are just amazing. Then at the end of chapter 4, I suggest "light a cigarette and sit down with the Crooked Man" and then don't play Act 5. Pretend whatever ending happens that you want and call it good. It's like 8 hours of taught awesome noir, just don't play the last 1½ hours of lovely not-courtroom bullshit.

Divinity 2 is a third-person arpg, a completely different beast than your isometric view arpgs like Diablo or Titan Quest.

Although they have the same moniker, the two arpg genres are nothing alike.

Divinity 2 isn't like Skyrim at all. It's like...Kingdoms of Amalur, but fun.

To what extent is crypt of the necrodancer really a rythm game? Like how exactly do the game mechanics interact with the music playing?
Also when you upload your own music into the game, how well does it handle slow music?

The recent Dynasty Warriors PC release is pretty dope (although it looks dated and you have to manually set the 360 controller buttons :wtc:). Although it's a bit of a side route of the genre.

Binary Domain isn't close to those at all though, barely so with Vanquish. It is strictly a basic third person shooter, just with surprisingly entertaining characters.
