Rarity feels scummy to me for the reasons I pointed out. She attempts to discredit a case using meta while plucking an arbitrary vote and throwing a scum read on it. If you want more ~words~, it feels LAMIST rather than actual scum hunting.

I don't think she in fact chose an arbitrary vote because seeing my actions in context, I would totally think I was scum in her shoes.

Therefore you picking up on that and voting her seems fishy. Especially in the mindset of scum who has full knowledge of who is / isn't scum. It's therefore sometimes difficult to pick up on scummy looking posting. That's why I think you aren't town.

Nobody is ever going to seriously say someone is scum based on voting Meinberg within the joke phase. That's fake play and everyone knows it. It's Meinberg goddamnit.

Admitting he was mistaken about being the Meinberg vote was the only thing he could do, so it comes down to whether he was legit about not noticing those earlier votes. I've never seen scum try such a brazen defence of a vote, the normal reactions are to double down or get wishy-washy. So like I said, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now and seeing what else he says.

"My jokevote is now serious" for what reason? The Rascyc/Rarity interaction doesn't really start in earnest until after you posted this, so what before that has you confident in your joke vote? Plus then Keane was definitely saying "Don't lynch me".

My vote on Meinberg was 100% serious. His reaction was totes flailing and seemed completely unwarranted. Until I went back and read that Rarity was the first vote :P

More seriously, these timeline shenanigans and the distancing/flip-flopping from kilran are setting off some alarms in my head. It's not even a question of tone, there's just some inconsistencies in the logic. I don't care for it, not one bit.

I don't really believe in that type of manipulation when it comes to scum. That's waaaay too high effort.

I've cooled on Win in light of other players atm. His original post was meh, Somb cased it appropriately, Yuming backed it up to an extent in a typical Yuming manner. His response to the whole thing is about what I expected from a known joker.

This is the kind of logic he uses as scum or town, and this early in the game where I don't see any ill intent behind his actions I don't parse it as scummy.

I like my read on winvirus best. He is joking but it's scummy joking-- there's more nuance than people are looking at and I feel good about this vote.

Can someone please sum up the case on Winvirus? I look at his post history and don't see anything objectionable whatsoever.

I like Yuming for town. I find her posting pleasant and informative about what she is thinking.

I feel like Keane plays mafia wearing a troll-face mask.

Still don't like rarity. I am not sure entirely how, but I am leaving my vote for the time being.

I had no read on somb's vote. I think his "case" on me is idiot hell crap and that he is actually possibly scum now because the dances and leaps of logic to paint me as Badguy are kind of extreme

I'm still a Big Fan of a Meinberg lynch. Or a Rarity or Somb lynch.

The first post I see as a real-but-scum opinion: win was legit trying to look like he was participating. His other early posts fit with this.

The second post is all internally conflicted about giving actual opinions and dismissing ones that have attracted negative attention for winvirus. I'm having a hard time explaining what I mean here, but he explains away his early behavior but still holds similar opinions (see: Somb). It doesn't follow a natural trajectory of thought and that makes me feel like winvirus is inventing the reads he's made.

I've italicized the parts that bother me the most tone-wise, also.
