Sync sound. You gotta record that poo poo separately. I can't stand the ignorance, Linus. I just can't stand it.

You also need to have talent in general. And an artistic motivation besides vanity. And a group of like-minded collaborators who will be critical of your decision making. And an original idea.

The video is incompetently made and the story is incoherent and stupid. This is not controversial.

Less antagonism - more construction: I recently picked up a copy of DJ Scott La Rock's Man & His Music and it kills. I love B.D.P., but this might be my favorite record by them.

Saw Outkast last night. Songs are classic and it was good fun but it's sad to see them in the context of such a pointless tour.
Andre and Big Boi have zero chemistry whatsoever. They avoid each other on stage and come and go on separate sides. No interaction at all.

This was either a contractual obligation or they got paid an absolute fortune to do it cos it's not for the art.

Outkast are one of the best and Aquemini is in my top 5 albums ever but I'm definitely a bit disappointed.

Oh I thought I posted this last week.

André 3000 Is Moving On in Film, Music and Life

So basically Andre is doing this for Big Boi,the fans, I mean money and has admitted to phoning it in early during those performances. Seeing them at a festival? Maybe. But I definitely wouldn't pay twice the money to watch half of the act. :frogout:

ps danny brown killed it at made in america festival yesterday. you could tell only about half the crowd knew that that Rustie Attak track existed.

Yeah I know what you mean - I saw them last month and 3000 just looked bored. From what I've read in interviews he wanted to do the tour thank the fans for 20 years of support, but poo poo he could at least pretend to care. Big Boi and Sleepy Brown were having fun though!

And yes you have good taste Aquemini is my #1. What tracks from the album did they do? We got Rosa Parks, Skew It On the Bar-B, Aquemini, Da Art of Storytellin' part 1, and my fav SpottieOttieDopalicious.

Andre just did an interview where he outright said he didn't want to do the tour and that he had considered Outkast done. There was some other interesting stuff in there but it's hard to say if he actually comes off as sympathetic or anything.

Yeah, we got all those, it's been the same setlist for a while now. SpottieOttie is my favourite Outkast track ever (those horns :getin:) so that was cool to hear live.

Also it was at a festival so it's not like I paid just to see them so not all doom and gloom. Kelis was also at the festival, I thought we might get a surprise performance of Millionaire but no such luck :(

It has been obvious for a while that andre has moved on from rap (and music in general) in a significant way and in that regard Outkast has effectively been dead. It still sucks to hear it straight from him. Still... I dont really feel like he should be obligated to continue a project that his heart isnt in though even if it is the most successful hiphop group of alltime... :ohdear:

I think he did another interview with Rolling Stone where he mentions he has a whole lot of half finished songs on his hard drive, and that he'd like to do another 'honest' album like The Love Below, so there is hope...

But yeah I NEVER thought I'd see them live so I'm happy either way.

i never thought in a million years i'd make this post but a song recently came up on one of my spotify radios (I think it was Danny Brown based) and I was digging the production then I check to see what it is an lo and behold it is a donglover song off "Because the internet" i know temple has been trying to tell us that the album is actually pretty good for a while so i might have to give it a more an honest listen at some point.

Yeah I liked Hold My Liquor, second fav track with Keef on it (Go To Jail is his best track fwiw). That being said I'm not sure he really adds anything but his name, as I think literally any rapper could've done what he did there but it definitely wasn't bad.

And the problem with donglover's album had nothing to do with the production (which i think numerous people said was solid). It was the rapping/content/ideas that was dumb as hell and/or executed horribly.
