I figure Beltram will just play big and relentless techno. And by figure I mean really hoping.

Go to Moog in Barcelona. It's one of my favourite clubs in the world. Just make sure it's not their new wave/80s night. It's a tiny club off the Rambla, usually a small or no cover. Pay 7 euros and get a mixed drink, basically a glass of vodka that will last you the night. Stay on the first floor (upstairs now plays poo poo music, but it funnels out all the wankers) and show up no earlier than 130 am

Barcelona advice:

Ben Sims at Nitsa
or
DVS1 at Razzmatazz

Oh really? This is my first visit to the techno thread. How discerning is everyone? I'd like to say I'm down for whatever, but I'm not sure what the world's definition of "whatever" is.

Cred: Last party I went to was Addison Groove, DJ Slugo and DJ Assault in a Chinese restaurant after hours.

I'll probably buy this. Even though his tracks straddle the line between bangers and complete cheese I still love the guy. Not to get all braggy but hearing the chords from No Turning Back at 9 am at Berghain was probably the greatest moment of my life...

I'm glad I'm not the one that said it. Movement's initial lineup their last festival was more impressive although it is a much bigger festival.

Full length album from objekt streaming for a week - http://pitchfork.com/advance/572-flatland/

It's a proper album, not just 10 club tracks edited down to 5 min. It's also amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up one of my favorites. The man can do sound design like no other.

Like it was ever going to happen without getting shut down anyway. They have a month to find another another 50k capacity venue in NYC. 2 weeks to lock it down if you include production lead up...

Hey everyone, I was wondering if you guys could recommend me artists/labels similar to the music of Aril Brikha and Steve Rachmad. I remember hearing them on the Rockstar Table Tennis soundtrack years ago and really liking the vibe of that kind of Techno.

Asusu is one third of the Livity Sound guys - so you may want to start with this compilation of their singles they put out last year:
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Livity-Sound/release/5028583

They recently put out a compilation of all of the remixes they had made of their singles as well - both of these should be on spotify youtube. Maybe just go from there. Hope that helps.

The mixes thread usually doesn't have much techno so I figured I'd share it with people who dig this stuff. About an 1.5 hrs of techno that I played a little bit ago. Would like some critique and thoughts on this from people I don't know.
