Jamie Foxx should dip into the hip-hop pool more often. Movies are overrated.

That LOX track is amazing. I did not know those guys were that good, or maybe it's just that individually they are B-teamers.. Jadakiss has that gravelly voice which is cool but other than that I have never heard of those guys.

I wasn't really feeling it, some tracks I liked, others were meh. 6ix Commandments was one of my favorite releases last year though and I still bump it regularly. Looking forward to their upcoming album though. Rip Infamous.

yeah, same, 4 songs in and it's not bad. my sub pt 3 and the title song are good

ps listen to Jean Grae's new EP, #5

quote:

I hope this album gets you into good conversations, prompts new drunk dance moves, probably a lot of drunk texts, some dealing with internal demons and most of all, a bunch of sex.

This is #5. I felt like doing something else. So I did. I really enjoy song crafting. The producing, the recording, the writing, the mixing, the everything. It’s short, but grown. Love ya.

Going back to that, I actually liked the song ok (sounds exactly like someone I would've really dug about 10 years ago) and went ahead and grabbed his album. I also read an interview about him moving to NY where he just poo poo all over Portland which I thought was funny.

And I dug your stuff on that mixtape THNDRTHF.

Thanks man. Haven't released anything since like '07...

Yeah Hanif is a very opinionated dude haha - he was a force in the scene out there (Portland) and basically feels like building a legitimate fan base out here (NYC). He's got a really solid lineup of producers and is a dope artist, as intentionally throwback as his style is I enjoy it. He's got dense wordplay which I appreciate, and it definitely gives a big nod to some golden era influence.
