The out of thread communication has me really worried. This game is going to be super susceptible to ringleading, with enough contacts I would be concerned about a D3 or D4 solve from someone well-connected. Doesn't seem like it's that horrible to share who talks to whom, especially since it lets us track possible word sharing and find out who's likely close to getting all the words.
