Greed is eternal posted:mount gocks some rear end in a top hat posted:I am Roger Ver, long-time Bitcoin advocate and investor. Today, I am at the Mount Gox world headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. I had a nice chat with Mount Gox CEO, Mark Karpelès, about their current situation. He showed me multiple bank statements as well as letters from banks and lawyers. I am sure that all the current withdrawal problems at Mount Gox are being caused by the traditional banking system -- not because of a lack of equitity at Mount Gox. The traditional banking partners that Mount Gox needs to work with are not able to keep up with the demands of the growing Bitcoin economy. The dozens of people that make up the Mount Gox team are hard at work establishing additional banking partners that eventually will make dealing with Mount Gox easier for all their customers around the world. For now, I hope everyone will continue working on Bitcoin projects that will make the world a better place.

so is it fair to say tim draper wouldn't have a good way to cash out even if he came to his senses? he's already lost 33% to 50% of his investment depending on estimates and the price of the hour. and he's established himself as the current greatest fool by buying lots of coins at the highest price. he'd quickly zero out the order books selling on exchanges, and if someone were to catch wind he was selling off exchange (loose lips or a PUBLIC BLOCKCHAIN), that'd probably cause a rush for the exits as the greatest fool just left. although i like the idea of him buying something huge through a coinbase/bitpay merchant like a mansion or one million fleshlights so that then they have to deal with that hot potato. while looking for something funny for him to buy on overstock, i saw this. overstock is offering an 8% discount of sorts (in the way that gyft offers a 3% bitcoin discount, meaning points only usable on the site). a tolerable card as far as store cards go. if you don't carry a balance and like overstock, not bad. i found it advertised on the front page, but bitcoin is not mentioned there. let's find it in the checkout, maybe. i'll try buying MY GIRLFRIEND a cheap costume necklace with fancy "ploating" so her cleavage look like its goin through a stargate. something's missing. at least it shows up under guest checkout. and the bitcoin page is pretty boring, but there's no discount for it, even though they are probably saving 82% in chargebacks and fees on each order. pardon my dumbness, but does that have racist connotations, or is he comparing bureaucrats to oranges so it's okay?

All Tim Draper has to do is put up a huge sell wall right above whatever the current price is, and then the bitcoiners will go crazy giving him their money in order to kill "bearwhale 2" or whatever

I put that Roger Ver video through a truth filter.Roger Verified posted:I am Roger Ver, long-time Bitcoin shill and scammer. Today, I am at the Mount Gox world headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. Before they would release money I had in the site, I was threatened by Mount Gox CEO, Mark Karpelès, who told me to make this video. He showed me multiple empty bank statements as well as letters from customer's lawyers. I am sure that all the current withdrawal problems at Mount Gox are being caused by Mark simply stealing the money -- not because of any banking regulations. The traditional Japanese regulatory authorities that Mount Gox needs to avoid with are not able to keep up with the complexity of the growing Bitcoin scams. The dozens of people that make up the Mount Gox team are hard at work spreading FUD that eventually will make dealing with Mount Gox a huge and expensive embarrassment for their customers around the world. For now, I hope everyone will continue working on Bitcoin projects that will make people like me a lot of money.
