All we need now is the dumbass rule on lapped cars behind the safety car to be changed.

The race distance must be respected! ed: Seriously, I agree for regular backmarker circumstances, but wait for the poo poo storm when a front runner that took an early penalty or the like gets a 1 lap bump and moves up thru the field.

Follow Scarbs, the Cock and the Autosport account. The GP2 account is tweeting the testing session atm. Just beware that sometimes teams have their own race updates and they can quickly overwhelm your feed if you're watching a race with Twitter going at the same time.

Just force all lapped cars through the pits every lap behind the safety car to drop them to the back safely, then make them do an extra lap at the end. They already benefit on being closed up to the lead with the safety car.

https://f1metrics.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/2014-model-based-driver-rankings/ Interesting article. I like it most because it shows Alonso is on the level of 90's Schumacher relative to their competitors.

So that's three retirements to match the 3 that Rosberg had in the season. Then on top of that Hamilton had the two qualifying issues. I don't think it's unfair to say that Lewis had the worse luck this year. NtotheTC posted:It really was the reliability difference (Abu Dhabi bought them even on race reliability, but Lewis still had 2x qualifying car failures that put him way down the grid) You said reliability. Getting hit by someone regardless of fault isn't reliability. And they both had the same issue in Canada, just Lewis couldn't stop driving like an idiot.

Ok it had some 'misses' with guys like Senna and Nico Rosberg, probably related to the large number of crap team mates Senna had and Rosberg beating Schumacher - but its not like the model is way way off. Clark, Stewart, Alonso, Schumacher, and Fangio is a pretty reasonable top 5. Its not perfect but as a tool to go along with conventional wisdom its not bad.

Ferrari may be the most interesting team to follow next season. Either the car was built too much around Alonso and we see a bit of a rebound or Alonso is vindicated as they struggle to get into the points.

Lewis' brakes failed in Canada because he was behind Rosberg whereas Rosberg was getting clear air to his brakes still. Had the situation been reverse Rosberg would've retired and Lewis would've been fine.
