Well, this card isn't exactly useful right now, so... England will play Spanish Pay Ships Seized for 3CP. sponsoring a scientist with patronage. (The rules say "pick a scientist that you are allowed to patronize at random", but given the choice I'd rather sponsor Dee over Bellaso. Is this done by dice roll or am I allowed to choose?)

In Scotland you can only build Scottish regulars with CP (minor powers don't have mercenaries). Only with Specific cards can you build your own power's forces not in a home space of your power.

Question, though. According to rule 14 sub 7, since both HRE and I scored one hit, and I was the defender (since the active player is always the attacker, 14 sub 2), then I "won" the battle, even though all my units were eliminated. And if the defender wins, the attacker must retreat to their origin space. I can't find a clause that negates the victory/retreat if the defender is eliminated. Am I missing something, or should Schwendi be forced back to Vienna? (He'll still be able to reach Szigetvar this turn, but this would stop him from reclaiming Graz along the way.)

I scored 2 hits, I think he just mistyped that part. Not applicable since I did win the battle, but a stack that loses a field battle cannot move again that impulse. Was hoping you would get zero hits... 3/4) control Graz 4/4) move into Szigetvar. Units inside come out to fight as well. No combat cards. Would be 4 HRE vs 6 Ottoman right now
