The new Montana of 300 project is out.

I was hoping for more stuff where he just does a single verse through the whole song (like Wayne used to do) but most of the stuff just has the regular hook/verse structure.
His hooks are alright, but generic. Listen to the new SD album instead if that's what you want - it's a great album.

This was surprising really good. Pro click.

So Nas is coming to my city to perform The Illmatic in full. Every instinct is telling me that it's a cynical way to gouge big money off backpackers and the entry-level crowd, but what are the odds that this is actually worth paying $100 for?

I don't have a huge interest in going to one of those shows but I've heard it's a great show and how many chances are you going to get to see a legendary rapper do his best album in full? I think it's a no brainer if you're a big Nas fan or if you go to a lot of shows. Better than spending $30 on 3 shows from artists that aren't a fraction of Nas. If $100 doesn't mean a lot to you I say go, once in a lifetime type show.

I like A Better Tomorrow I don't love it though. Ruckus in B Minor is the best track by far and on par with some of the stuff from 36 Chambers in my opinion. Rest of the albums fine, main problem is that Wu Tang isn't as hungry as they were on 36 Chambers and their earlier stuff its much safer.

Also there's a new video from Freeway and Girl Talks EP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCylqr2dXXw I like this track so much more then Tolerated.

a few more thoughts on A Better Tomorrow after listening to the whole album (twice)

- masta killa continues to be the most boring member of wu tang, followed closely by u-god
- inspectah deck has gotten a lot better at rapping in recent years
- gza and rza verses are entertaining in small doses
- raekwon, ghost and method man still got it

i like the album overall, but i wish they threw on another rugged track like Wolves from 8 Diagrams. otherwise, it's like other wu albums where i'll listen to it and just sit through a couple OK tracks to get to the good ones

I quite like the new Ferg tape too, glad that it's got a bunch of variety and especially the more introspective/storytelling songs.

Not that it's some super technical rhyming or whatever but I really dig the vibe of this track and wasn't expecting it from Ferg.
