This might be one of the rarest cars in the world. A completely stock MKIV turbo Supra spotted on the 10 in Los Angeles today.

There's rare, and then there's rare for the US. You can pick one of those up for $20K (auto) in pretty good nick in NZ

$20k is more than what it would cost to get an automatic Supra in the US anyway. They're expensive compared to most other 15 year old Toyotas but not *that* rare.

In my defence, I've got no idea what does and doesn't fly on US roads due to import laws. Apparently you guys never got the ST205 Celica either.

What did he mean by "punctured it?' Was he able to tell that quickly that he put a hole in the tire and was running on a deflating wheel for the rest of the run, or is it more of "I hosed that up" saying?

I think he literally means he blew the tire. Skip to about 4m and watch for 20s, you can hear the tire flapping, and again right before the end.

Yeah and he was going to full lock just to make moderate right turns. The front left was definitely punctured.

It "may be" slippery. Like if it's under tree cover the rest of the road could be dry but that spot not so much.

I've always wondered: how often do they have to repair those quaint little stone cottages when a maniac Irishman (or Finn) rifles a Yamaha (or Subaru) through their yard?

xzzy
Mar 5, 2009

Probably not often, because humans are softer than stone and tend to squish when they hit. I expect the bikes to either explode or bounce off.

Most of the houses seem to have really beefy walls built up in front of them, perhaps to ward off intruding motorcyclists.

Couple of questions:

1) Is that a variable-pitch propeller, and

2) Is that safety wire in those bolts that I assume are holding the blades into the hub?

This isn't an actual Aston Martin that you can buy its just being made for the new James Bond film. You probably won't see any new AM products for a few years yet because the VH platform isn't outdated enough yet apparently.
