I loving love this formula-e business. It's loads of fun.

Still good fun, but that circuit seemed kind of Formula E's version of Valencia to me. Too narrow, no decent overtaking opportunities, not that great a race and most of the drama was caused by drivers making mistakes and penalties rather than good racing.

I think for it being the first season they're doing quite well. I agree with the Valencia parallels though, and fear that Buenos Aires might be the same.

I get why the series wants to focus on city circuits because of the whole green angle, but I hope they'll include road courses in the future.

They won't, a big part of the focus on street circuits is that these cars have very low top speeds but incredible acceleration, so the cars look terrible on even medium length straights. The slow corner - short burst - slow corner style of the street circuits shows them off at their best so that's where they go.

I'm not too familiar with Valencia but all the E tracks look like poo poo to me so far. Boring city circuits with horrible road surface and no runoffs and no space for passing.

But they have produced some great racing so far in the season.

The companies funding Formula E want to have their electrical vehicle infrastructure installed in the downtown areas of cities, so they can reap the benefits of that after the race is over. So they're all going to be downtown.

Hmm, good point. I'm going to see the Berlin race in May, at the old tempelhof airport. I think it's the only one that won't be on an actual street circuit and I hope it won't look too slow. Because I'm guessing it will have massive wide open straights.

The best driver is Alonso, I'm not surprised.

I have also deduced that Alex Yoong is indeed the worst driver of F1's modern era.

I don't remember Yoong being as bad as Ide. Yoong's cars were rubbish, the Super Aguris weren't anywhere near the same 'back row brigade' status.

I also think Ide was worse than Yoong, but the 2006 Super Aguris were basically four-year-old Arrows cars with some new bits plastered on and they were very much backmarkers during that season.

Have you actually watched any of the three Formula E races to date? Heidfeld had people drive into him in each of the first two races.

No, I haven't watched any of them. I just wanted to poo poo on Heidfeld.

But if different drivers keeps driving into him then maybe he's doing something wrong? If I was a Formula E driver I would try to avoid that happening to me, since I'd liked to score more than one measly point after three races.
