Roman Reigns is hated because people perceive him as someone WWE wants to be over. That's it. Anybody who pretends it has anything to do with what talent Reigns has or does not have is lying. We're talking about people who bitched about Reigns being shoved down our throats by having an injury update that took maybe a minute.

Yeah, I think the main thing is that it's obvious that WWE wants Reigns to be the guy. Nevermind the fact that crowds love Ambrose, were loving Cesaro, etc. yet those guys won't be given the same shot as the main-main event dude. They got over but they're only allowed to hit a certain ceiling because they weren't the guys who WWE thought would be the MOST over. It's lovely and stupid and sad.

I don't think Reigns is ready or this will feel right but I'm lost as to what would work better. I can't think of a single satisfying Rumble push or story to tell. Part of that is that I just don't give any poo poo about the World Title and think it's a bit of a joke since Brock's been gone forever. So I kind of just want anyone to take the belt off Brock so this idiotic "never have the champ around" experiment can end and I can get back to being dissatisfied by the world title program instead of forgetting the world title exists. The only story I could possibly imagine being excited for is some talented young face getting an upset Rumble win and pushing that he wants to bring the belt back to WWE and be a fighting champion. But I can't think of anyone in the right position on the card and with the right makeup for that to work with. Ziggler is the closest, I guess. And that's not happening. There's just no one who feels hot in WWE to me. Cesaro's too cold. Ambrose is in a weird place story wise. So give it Reigns. Whatever. Nothing better going.

I strongly agree with whoever said that if Cena loses tonight he wins the Rumble. So it's lose lose. If Rollins gets the win it just means no Rumble title defense and Cena winning the Rumble. I know that sounds jaded but I really can't work out the argument to shoot it down.
