GMT, Fridays are usually a good day for me although my schedule overall shifts erratically due to work every other day. I've a question for the more experienced players in the thread, are Ork Spacehulks worth it? They look remarkably impressive and tough, but the crappy handling really gives me pause.

They are really hard to kill and the fact that they don't get crippled makes it even more unattractive to directly go after them. Their problem is the lack of mobility though. They might have a bunch of weapons, but if the enemy manages to keep close within just one facing the damage it puts out becomes a lot less impressive. Especially if you consider that reloading ordnance isn't something you can reliably do and with the special crit table potentially weakening the hulk even more, you have a giant rock that can get outgunned easily if a fleet starts focusing on it. In the end it's something that probably won't die, but also won't have a big presence in the battle after a few turns.

My experince with Hulks is that they're basically giant nigh-invincible bubbles of area denial best used to split up your opponent's fleet. They're only questionably worth the points offensively, but are giant blobs of rear end in a top hat during defensive scenarios.

Greetings friends, things're getting busy for me at work right now and I don't think I'll be able to carve out the straight periods of free time required to play the game properly. I've communicated with my only opponent to date (Vulin) via PM, and he's a pretty chill dude as are many of the rest of you afaik so I'm really sorry to have to pull out like this. Sorry dudes.
