I didn't see their game tonight but I read McHale benched the whole team for lack of effort so Smith must have brought his work ethic with him. The Rockets have been like 7th in the west in SRS for a while. Their pythag record hasn't been that great. I love that Smith is getting blamed for this.

He's got 35 FGA combined over his last 3 games, he's averaging 30+ FGA per game this season. He's playing a lot different last few games and it kinda rules big boi posted:what the gently caress I don't want to see that That is awesome. New Raptors Open Gym thing is up, and it shows the staff during the Bruno draft. Interesting to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaKSFSU1fAA&t=240s It appears Masai was the "two years away from being two years away" source, and they really wanted Not Bruno (Tyler Ennis, probably) but settled for him.

They settled for the guy in the first round that they could've taken in the second?

Masai says he was hearing that other teams might pick him before their own 2nd rd pick. They seemed to be pretty aggressively trying to trade either down or up. The environment in that draft room seemed a bit healthier than in Sacramento's. pylb fucked around with this message at 20:15 on Jan 3, 2015 |

I also just really like Masai shrugging his shoulders and saying "wasn't our first pick, might not work out, but hey, whatever". So refreshing and different from NIK ROCKS and unwavering belief in Their Guy. EDIT ^ the most middle of the road team for the most middle of the road city in the most middle of the road state with a bunch of middle of the road players.
