The question now becomes: After homologisation, will Honda be allowed to use the 2015 tokens to improve their engine?

Were are these rumours about locked in syndrome coming from? They are at odds with what Kehm and even Streiff are saying. Long and hard road to recovery sounds quite a lot better if the alternative is can't move anything at all.

As others have said the Lancer is the only real mainstream model here in North America. I had to look up both those models and they sell neither of those here and the only other model I was aware of was the Galant which has been discontinued. The current Evo is getting pretty dated when you consider all the previous models were replaced in quick succession and there are doubts that an update is actually coming. They're following an eerily similar trajectory to Isuzu where their car line up is falling apart and they're doing next to nothing to replace or update them and at some point the plug has to be pulled. Pretty crazy to think this is the company that at one point could have possibly bought out Honda.

Mitsubishi is very Asia/Europe focused, they have never been popular in the Americas. Canada didn't even get them (technically) until 2003. FYI Honda is very popular in Canada, the Civic has been the best selling car for the last 5000 years.
