My number one issue with Elba as Bond is that he is physically massive.

Craig was, and I'm not a Bond fanatic or anything so I might be wrong, seemingly by leaps and bounds the most physical Bond ever. Like, Elba is definitely bigger, but it's not a huge departure like going straight from Roger Moore to Dwayne Johnson or something.

I don't care about Bond and I love Elba, so I'm willing to forget any incongruity regardless

And the only reason he can do this is the connections he was born into. Trump is nothing but a name who wants to attach himself to your project to bring his "business acumen" to the project which consists of the real investors paying him to go and stay away.

Trump is the 1%-er version of a lazy bum friend who crashes on your spare mansion couch and sells off your assets behind your back at half price leaves the living room trashed with cigarette butts and empty styrofoam cups while claiming he's working hard on getting a new job he won't be fired from within a week.

I've always heard Dubya described as someone who was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple, and the more I've learned about conservatives throughout the years, the more it seems like that description could be equally appropriate to pretty much any famous Republican, politician or talking head. They truly do think that inheriting their wealth is just takes an equal amount of effort as starting from the bottom of the income ladder.

I can't help but want to bring up the article written by the guy who bought one of Mitt Romney's old houses. He did everything he could to describe a home that was (if memory serves) something like 11,000 square feet as humble or modest, and went so far as to claim it was "in" a neighborhood that it was behind, overlooking it from above, on a road that had like three houses in as many miles on it. This is the rich-right-wing idea of "modest means", apparently.

I remember a friend got suckered into a multi-level marketing scheme with ACN, trying to sell poo poo videophones. They had Trump flacking for them in a video. They literally have these people get all their friends together for a party, and give them a script that says "I want you to pay close attention to two things in this video: 1) who is in the video? and 2) something else."

People are like "oh wow it's Donald Trump." Trump is on record as saying if he wanted to start a fortune now, he would go into multi-level marketing. Which could just be something he said because ACN was paying him, or he could actually believe it because yes, Donald Trump is literally that stupid.

There is always some click-bait journalism about how difficult people making more then $250k a year have it because of the tax increases. Like "Oh no, we can't make too much money this year or the evil government will take more of it"

And families living off 40k or less read about it and rage against the democrats for how they're destroying the country.

MLM is a great way to make money if you're in at the beginning and have absolutely nothing resembling ethics or a conscience. I know a dude who makes six figures from some MLM skincare bullshit but he peddled that poo poo to literally every person he met for like 2-3 years. I can't even remember how many times I got random messages from him asking if I was interesting in making a bunch of money even though I flat out told him I had zero interest every time. Your friend may well be making a bunch of money, but I think those schemes also encourage people to start "living the life" before they make money (go into debt financing an expensive-looking lifestyle) and to lie to people about how much they make in order to recruit them easier.

He has poo poo that he couldn't even pretend to finance if he wasn't making actual serious money, but I guess the company could buy it and let him lease it or rent-to-own or something. I don't know how they work really. uthorities are looking for a man who may have information about an explosion set off near the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP.

The Tuesday blast outside a barbershop next door to the group's building caused no injuries, police said. There was only minor damage to the site which is which is about an hour south of Denver.

FBI spokeswoman Amy Sanders says an explosive was detonated against the building, but it's too soon to know whether it was aimed at the nation's oldest civil rights organization.

Sanders says a gasoline canister had been placed next to the improvised explosive device but it did not ignite.

She says investigators are looking for a balding white man in his 40s who may be driving a dirty pickup truck.

A woman who answered the phone at the NAACP office but declined to give her name said people inside the building heard a "loud boom" coming from a lawn area in the rear.

Pretty much. Trump's famous for his reputation as a savvy businessman, a reputation he built entirely out of bullshit and he pimps out as hard as he can because without it his debtors would devour him alive. He convinces/badgers/bullies people into hiring him so that he can slap his name on a project and bring in a bunch of mouth drooling idiots that don't realize that Trump's a 1%-er con artist and an utter incompetent one at that.

For reference, Trump is a man that lost money owning a casino. Let me repeat that, Trump at one point owned a casino which is basically a money fountain and still managed to run it into bankruptcy.

Yeah, Trump has declared bankruptcy multiple times and has had to be bailed out by his family on at least one occasion. I think he has negative net worth (his debts outweigh his assets). He needs a constant stream of income in order to continue service on his debts so he's forever pushing himself into the public eye, hosting get-rich-now seminars and flogging his reality show. That's why he's always tweeting dumb right-wing poo poo and musing about running for President - it's solely to keep his name in the public eye and bump up his Q rating so he can make more on the motivational speaker market and sell more ads for his reality show. Real rich people aren't forever racing around the country picking up checks and plugging their low-rated TV shows.

No one who is worth 4 billion in any way that's recognizable to humans is sitting around giving fetch quests to Gilbert Gottfried and Shawn Jordan.
