The person was transgender, and was openly trans by way of their internet presence, but was still closeted IRL with regards to their family. Someone (I believe on these forums) contacted the poster's family and outed them, causing some really awful stuff, apparently.

Well this is depressing. JO, Lupa, I'm sorry for how you and your friends were treated. Good luck on your own - I hope that maybe one day a different group can take the basically-good idea of Channel Awesome and execute it competently. Until then, hopefully Patreon can continue doing the good its done so far. At least Channel Awesome seems to be feeling the repercussions for their bullshit. I guess you could say they Robbed their producers and Doug their own grave?

Just caught up on the drama and I don't really have anything witty or productive to say just that I hope Lupa, Phelous, Kyle, and anyone else who chooses to leave CA the best of luck in the future. It's awful that you all had to suffer all that bullshit in silence for so long, and I'm glad you guys have reached a point in your careers where you can confidently extricate yourselves from that swamp.

Speaking of lists, while re-arranging my video bookmarks today I remembered something I (and the rest of the world) forgot about : RSS feeds!  So I found out for the first time ever that I can use my old Yahoo! account to save and arrange RSS feeds on one screen in MyYahoo. If you look for them, you can find RSS for some of the videos you want. On blip, just add "/rss" to the end of the user page URL. http://blip.tv/needsmoregay/rss http://phelous.com/feed/ http://blip.tv/needsmoregay/rss http://blip.tv/brows-held-high/rss http://feeds.feedburner.com/SpoonyExperiment http://blip.tv/mikejtv/rss http://www.ashens.com/rss This totally eliminates the need to go to a portal hub website such as CA to see the latest videos from people I like! What a wondrous technology of the future! Which is probably one of the reasons why that future didn't happen-- RSS means you don't have to look at as many pages with ads on them. Which is why Google hates RSS and YouTube doesn't support it. Alas.

Okay, if we're getting the drama poo poo out of the way before the thread is done, I have one more grievance to air. I know I said a few pages back that the site might need a good razing, but at the same time, you've got people reveling/gloating in it, and it's just weird. It feels like it's coming from a nasty place, especially since this dude has made constant jabs at the "SJWs" on the site. I guess it's like Hop said earlier; there are decent human beings shedding light on the problems with Michaud and the Walker's management style, and it's not worth it to give the people so rabidly anti-CA the time of day. Just an E/N thing I needed to get out there. Long story short: there are people out there in the "anti-TGWTG" camp that are as obsessive and creepy as the fans of the site.
