I used to play on this server called Killing Joke. British clan server with 6 second respawn rate, best drat community I ever played with. Then they ran out of money and the community just kinda fizzled out. I still miss those guys.

tf2 used to be fun until valve made it their testing ground for ideas to put into other games except that, being the TESTING ground, meant they got the shittiest and most godawful of whatever idea valve came up with, and as soon as everybody competent left tf2 then balance changes and weapon ideas were made by the steam forums' greatest minds (a bloo bloo i worked so hard to build that sentry and the mean old demoman blew it up please nerf, valve, also give me a minigun that makes me shoot a ring of fire so those dumb jerk spies cant backstab me and a rifle that lets me hide halfway across the map and heal my sentry under fire without being anywhere near it) so now it's loving garbage

I'm pretty much done with TF2 because they smoothed out the burst damage from non-melee weapons. Without burst damage most game modes become slogs, sentry's and healing become too strong and of course the number of demomen who can actually demolish stuff is usually hovering near zero. They've also screwed up the balance between speed and health, the charging targe was the beginning of the end, but now most classes can move faster then they were originally supposed to often without a downside.
