Well they also live in this bubble where they think everyone hates TNA because it's TNA and not because the shows suck.

Also, Christian had a better career in TNA than in WWE?

I'm guessing this is based on some in-kayfabe "if you have the title, regardless of promotion, you're at the top of the industry" logic.

Christian was a career midcarder at best in WWE before going to TNA, where he was immediately treated like a bigger star than WWE ever had. Christian was definitely on the long path to nowhere in WWE at the time of leaving, and if anything his career was heading downward quickly. I'd say he's a legitimate case of "This guy was way better off in TNA than had he stuck around in WWE".

Given how miserable he was in TNA I don't think that's true. He was better off for having gone there because he came back at a time when WWE had zero roster depth and thus he was more valuable. His last year and a half in TNA was spent worse off than he was at the end of his WWE run and TNA pretty much blew his initial face run by immediately making the focus of the company be about Sting and Jarrett, not Christian.

I think it was moreso Christian walking out on Vince that made him take notice of him when he returned, rather than anything he did in TNA. Christian actually refused to re-sign with WWE and walked out, rather than being released and crawling to TNA begging for money.

But who knows, maybe HHH was swooning over Christian being a NWA champion that also helped his case.

I'm really surprised that TNA fans are not more realistic, there's a lot to be positive about with TNA not least that they do have regular TV exposure which most feds don't have. So they're not having huge ratings yet there is always the possibility that they could thought if I was an avid TNA fan I'd probably wish Dixie was not an on TV personality.

The TNAMecca crowd and similar types have been convinced for years that TNA is a legit competitor to WWE, even though it's nowhere close and never has been. They automatically assumed "national TV" meant "just like RAW/Smackdown".

They never will. They were consistently bad-to-awful on Spike and are going to be even worse on DA since they're in far fewer homes. Remember that this is a fed that got bumped in favor of softcore porn once.

yeah I get being a super-fan of a brand, whatever, but not only do they constantly take dixie's (and now destination america's) mistreatment with glee but they furiously defend them for a reason I will never understand. apples and oranges and all but vince gets crucified practically every WWE discussion thread.

That's a bit embarrassing, hardcore I could understand but softcore?

They may never get RAW type ratings but they could still get ratings to keep them financially viable surely. You'd think that the TNA fans would be pretty happy about that they just seem to have a weird, sad desperation about them that kinda makes me sad when I read it.

I honestly don't know what's worse, the TNA fans who keep watching blind to the fact how bad it is, or the WWE fans who keep watching despite being well aware how bad it is.

A major bump is the right term. He fell off the top of a cage door and landed on some steel steps and knocked himself the gently caress out. It made the news for how idiotic the spot was. He performed this bump in front of maybe 300 people, for a television audience of under 300k.

Getting what you want RIGHT NOW is not the loving point, and you, and the rest of those assholes know it. It's about the loving journey, and to throw Daniel Bryan right back into the title match, after most of a year off is not a journey, it's blatant pandering to the crowd, and it shouldn't be done. Did this guy, like, forget that Reigns also just came back from a long off period?

I mean, I guess you can also cite to something like Triple H in 02 winning the rumble off his big return. And since he seems to also hate the fans that boo'd Misterio for being babies about not getting what they want, I assume he also approved of it when Batista won off his big return?

But even leaving that aside, unless you really want to count winning a slammy and giving injury updates, Roman's "journey," to the Rumble was exactly two weeks and one day longer than Bryan's. And Bryan also returned and updated and whatnot several times during his injury, so Roman doesn't even have an advantage there. What is that guy smoking?

You can cite Triple H, Edge, or Cena, but all of those guys were well established for years before their wins. Roman was a tag champion once. If the WHC was still around? Sure. Give him a run with that and see how it goes.

WWE created a controversy with having Roman Reigns win the Rumble match. How do they write themselves out of Goldberg vs Lesnar II?

Embrace the controversy. Make it bigger.

Have it be leaked that WWE officials feel that Roman Reigns may have cheated to win the Rumble match by failing a drug test. Create your own scripted version of the NFL's deflategate. Suspend Reigns. Let him lie and deny even as evidence keeps piling up on him. Then he returns post supsension as a major heel. Also, hold a tournament at Fast Lane to crown the #1 Contender at Mania against Brock.

actually the basic concept of it's extremely interesting in a vacuum. "Popular" Babyface cheats in an extremely cheap way athletes actually do in the real world, revealing a core of hypocrisy, ruthlessness, and slight egomania. Good springboard to an angle with an amazingly low level of suspension of disbelief required. But this is WWE and half the athletes are doing illegal drugs to buff themselves up so that doesn't work.
