Grabbed tickets to the final, don't really care who is playing it'll be awesome to be at. E: who was the big fat guy who played for the Sixers last year? Was going to say Cosgrove but he is Thunder and has hair, pretty sure I remember this fat guy being bald. thepokey fucked around with this message at 11:04 on Jan 24, 2015 |

Holy poo poo. e: almost 40,000 if you include the last game. e2: attendance for the Hobart ODI was 11,000 while the average for the Hurricanes this season was almost 14,000. I basically live on the road eden park is on so I will watch at home and pretend like I'm there. Also I'm interested to see how Kyle Mills goes today. I think we got our selection right but Mills over Henry is a question mark for me.

Is there really that much of a home crowd in BBL? Indian fans go crazy about their IPL team but I've never seen many aussies actually care.

BBL appeals mostly to young families and so I'd say yes, they've done a pretty good job of differentiating teams with brightly coloured clothing and seem to sell a lot of merchandise. Crowds have been huge this year.

I was at the Scorchers/Stars game during the week, was really surprised how many people were there. LOTS of kids in their green gear, and they go crazy at every six and wicket the home team gets. It really reminded me of being at a baseball game.

I was about to say nice things about Dan Vettori, and then he did that. Will be an interesting world cup for this NZ side, I think they're third/fourth favourite with most of the bookies.
