Yes, we'll have cool new things to vote on next year that aren't lovely.

I voted Matt Brown for favourite fighter of 2014. I regret nothing and think he should've won.

Only two votes for Frank Edgar as favorite fighter and Ronda's KO somehow being second while Smolka hit someone with sweet chin music and he isn't on the list.... A farce.

I voted Neil Magny for most improved as TJ Dillashaw was always good but was stuck on prelims while Magny went 0-2 in 2013 to go 5-0 in 2014.

Thankfully only one person thought that Lawler winning the decision over Hendricks was the absolute worst decision of the year.

I didn't vote and therefore have no right to complain but Uriah Hall's post fight interviews are a thing of beauty. Besides whatever he said about NYPD this year, I'm pretty sure the fight he dedicated to Nelson Mandela, Shane del Rosario and Paul Walker in the same sentence was last year.

Nope, that was the fight he retired Leben, which was at the very end of 2013

Also Stefan Struve having a fight-ending anxiety attack about fighting Matt Mitrione and then agreeing to return by fighting Alistair Overeem, a stronger opponent who is much more popular in their homeland, was actually the worst career move of 2014.

I had successfully repressed the memory that Rin Nakai fought in the UFC, I probably should have voted for that for worst booking decision

I think something that would be helpful would be the "Best of 2015" thread that gets maintained throughout the year should have all the categories listed, so after any event you can just check the OP and see if there was anything that happened that might qualify, then add a reply posting about it

Well the other side of that coin is underperformed, and compared to what we figured was going to happen she did pretty alright. Barao was supposed to be the dark horse P4P guy and he dropped fights to TJ, a bathroom and then went 3 rds with Mitch Gagnon on the way to a submission win. And Bryan Caraway already did that.

Lid posted:I'm still a bit srurprised I am the only one who voted Rin Nakai for most overhyped. She's had one fight in the UFC, in which she was like +300. Who was overhyping her, or indeed hyping her at all? I think I'm the only one in PSP who even suggested she had a shot at winning, and that was more due to me thinking that Miesha Tate is really a lot worse than people give her credit for being than anything else.

it should work if someone makes the 2015 nominations thread like fatherdog suggested. Just copy & paste the 5 most logical choices with "Other" always an option for guys who really want to vote Jake Shields for every category. it should boost the number of ballots you get next year

You wouldn't even have to put radio buttons with suggestions if you'd rather keep it completely up to us to remember what to submit. Google forms are super easy to mess with.

Personally don't dig the idea of listing what may be obvious choices. Feel like that would be pushing people to vote on things they may not otherwise vote for. Would using google forms work for 1/2/3 voting system that's in place now? I could probably check it myself but I'm just gonna ask because I'm going to sleep.
