Ah, actually, I bet it is the proving ground test track at their plant in Untert�rkheim (I think?). I remember seeing an article ages ago talking about it. The banking goes up to nearly 90 degrees, IIRC.

Firstly, look at where the black is. It's actually in a shape on the Merc and on the McLaron it's the whole bottom half. Plus the Merc has the Petronas Teal along the length (nopse, rims and sidepod), rather than red lines that cut off somewhere around the front of the cockpit. I like the pattern on the Merc's spine as breaks up the colour, whereas Button will be driving something that's just plain silver for the sake of silver. Also the fact that the teal is more gradiented/feathered/whatever than last year's.

Do I think the car's a stunner? No, but it's the best looking out of the FI, Macca, and Merc. That's all.

Larrousse had a few that were riots of color and involved Camel sponsorship, so maybe that. Ligier in 1996 had Parmalat as a sponsor so a lot of white, but not so much yellow.

That Sauber looks quite good too. I like the paint scheme, chassis still kinda eh. I figure most of the back-half of the grid are gonna have noses like the Sauber does. Also, looks like the color scheme is reminiscent of their last four or five years' worth in terms of the angles (like on the side pod), but with new colors. I dig it.
