'mom!' she cried 'mom help!" but her mother was not there. her mother was never there. she ran to her house and burst in the door, the kitchen and living room filling with moths like snow let in during a blizzard. they swarmed her house, her couch, her tv, her drawings on the fridge. they were everywhere ruining everything with their dusty touch. with a howl she pressed her hands over her forehead to block them out, but the pain quickly became unbearable, and she jerked back bloody, torn hands. the moths had mouths, teeth, just like she'd imagined. a hoplessness like the first understanding of death overtook her and she sunk to her knees in the kitchen, on the sticky linoleum, and laid down, her eyes pointing sightlessly at the dustballs and twist ties under the fridge. moths spilled forth from her, and fluttered even there. they lighted on her arms and neck, chewing at her collar, her skirt, her shoes. she could not find the will to move or care. "lynn! what the hell is going on here!' lynettes mother burst into the kitchen, poison spray gun in hand and looked down in horror at the font of insects gushing from her daughters face.
