The New Insincerity

Deadman wonderland seems ok up to episode 2, before I spend anymore time on this is it going to get skeezy (ala kill la kill) at some point?

If you're okay with big tit jokes about the Warden lady and the main girl wearing the snuggest bodysuit ever there's not really anything in it worse than that.

Eh, Lust is about as pure evil as you get, Gluttony doesn't have any character development (in either version, actually) tho he does have the cool Gate thing, and Sloth is just another hulking behemoth. All the others are pretty good tho.

Father doesn't actively do much in the story, but I like his character especially since it serves as kind of a parallel to Ed in the end. Father continually craved knowledge and forsook everything else, eventually leading to his comeuppance, whereas Ed was willing to give up knowledge (his alchemy) for his family.

The original Greed is the most interesting character out of the bunch to me, in that arguably he's not even evil. He takes care of his friends, and his goal is basically just to survive, and while he won't hesitate to hurt someone to get what he wants he won't do it needlessly.

Yeah literally the entire point of FMA is self-sacrifice surprise the main villain is the guy who has only ever taken from others
I wouldn't really say 'self-sacrifice,' but rather 'hard work.' Look at Ed's monologue at the end - he isn't preaching the value of enduring pain for the sake of others, he's preaching the value of enduring pain and learning from it, for yourself. Father still contrasts with that, though, since he's only ever piggy backed off of other people's work. Even the way he fights - doing his clash with Hohenheim, he spends the whole time sitting in his chair.

Also Greed's 'money, sex, power' speech is also really good. FMA has some good rear end quotes.

It's not like it shows her nipples or anything. It doesn't even look that tight.

The main draw of the series anyway is Crow, that dude owns and is pretty much what every dork who grew up reading shounen mangas would become if they discovered they had superpowers.

Brotherhood Greed is pretty much the exact same tho?

She actually seemed like kinda a cool character; did she remain an antagonist through and through? Spoiler tag that poo poo, but I curious.

She turns against the true antagonist by the end and gets a happy ending, spending her time training soldiers for the rest of her life, but that's just the manga though.

It really loving sucks the show was so badly recieved in Japan. I'd love to see the rest of the manga adapted. It's so good.

Yeah the anime cuts off at a really frustrating part, might want to keep that in mind if you want to watch it to the end.

I think at least Cross Ange has ideas beyond just "let's rehash the Gundam formula but with none of the things that make Gundam interesting, nor any interesting ideas of our own".

That is the position Buddy Complex is in, it's making me compliment Cross Ange of all things.

I think I actually ended up watching more episodes of Cross Ange than I did Buddy Complex. It was only 3 versus 2 though.
