I think they said they did a lot of work with internals.

This is how it used to be, though. No shame in cheap iterations of older cars. F1 has been a bit daft about this for years.

Yeah. I assume it's a typo and their target was to finish 1/3rd of the championship.

They've hidden their lack of sponsors well actually but when you realise Genii is them and EMC might just be over represented in lieu of new sponsors we have totally signed you guys then it's a very thin car.

Probably explains why their livery just sort of gives up at the rear. It saves a valuable 87 francs per car!

If the car was y 'know, good it might be understandable but it's not. I'm just as baffled at McLaren developing the previous year's car.

But the Honda engine is going to power the car to victory unlike that dog poo poo Mercedes engine.

This is the season's "before" pic while they're still friends. BOLD PREDICTION: 5 races before an incident makes them stop talking to each other.

Mercedes, would it have killed you to use more colour and less 90's fade effects in your livery? I guess thanks for not adding lens flares. This would have been much cooler:

The McLaren one isn't distinctive at all and looks like a Super Aguri livery. Papaya orange/white/red would look good. Or Marlboro despite what the thread thinks.

I'm trying to make sense of that because last year Sauber were nowhere at Jerez, and this is ostensibly the same car. Presumably even if they were running light it can't be that bad; I'd assume they would have tried the same thing in 2014.

Sure, we all have ideas about what the liveries should and shouldn't be, but it's all part of the pre-season fun. Leave us alone, and continue to lurk for our collective wisdom and insight.

Most of them are fine, but none of them are really anything special. I like the Sauber for being identifiable at least. That and the Ferrari are at least easy to spot at a glance. Oh, and the Williams, I don't think anyone else has done white.

I'd assume its pretty similar to the Dell Caterham deal. "Have some computers we have laying around and let us put your name on our car."

At what point do the teams have enough information about the 2016 rules to start focusing on that car? Seems like a viable strategy for some of the known midpackers.

Wouldn't surprise me, it's getting their other sponsors into TV ads for free, so it's useful for attracting them.
