I live way down South and the weather here gets pretty bad but at least driving around the car stays relatively clean. It's the accumulation of pollution mixed with moisture and salty crap that is kicked about in the capital city that ruins a clean car Today has been a productive day, I removed the old corroded and somewhat thinner than I'd like exhaust tips with new Euro style ones. This job sounds easy but it's far from it. Pop rivets and tight working space = finger murder. Before: After: Here's the size difference: I tried to revive the stock tips with wire wool, autosol etc etc but they were too far gone.

Unfortunately 20 years of it being parked outside took its toll on the single stage paint. Paint condition aside, the car is crazy cool in stock form and is in impeccable mechanical condition.

Terrible Robot posted:You have chosen...wisely. Thanks, I've having an absolute blast driving it around. The T5 is so much more fun and engaging than the dreary 2.5l Passat. We're supposed to start getting some mainstream Alfa's here in the US over the next few years, but I'll believe it when I see it. Of course, we'll never see the Brera since it stopped production in 2010. Bouillon Rube fucked around with this message at 15:28 on Feb 4, 2015 |

Wish I had taken a picture but it was pretty nice today in central ohio and I took the S2000 out with the top down. High was 51 I think... of course, I took it out at about 10am when the temperature was 34 degrees but I just threw my ski jacket on and all was well.

After a long winter the weather let up in the SF South Bay a few weeks ago. Decided it was a good morning to do a drive up from Portola Valley to 92/Highway in the hope of some tunnel runs. Heavy fog made it quite interesting. Found this little guy at Alice's to be recalled later in the week over steering issues. Stopped to watch the fog roll over the cliffs. Bit of potato cam video and not nearly enough tunnel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nk8UMtgfqm8 Got sick of having a filthy car and got detailed. bowling 4 buttcoins fucked around with this message at 03:55 on Feb 8, 2015 |
