I live way down South and the weather here gets pretty bad but at least driving around the car stays relatively clean. It's the accumulation of pollution mixed with moisture and salty crap that is kicked about in the capital city that ruins a clean car :(

Today has been a productive day, I removed the old corroded and somewhat thinner than I'd like exhaust tips with new Euro style ones. This job sounds easy but it's far from it. Pop rivets and tight working space = finger murder.

Here's the size difference:

I tried to revive the stock tips with wire wool, autosol etc etc but they were too far gone.

So the car is a previous 1 owner, and 100% stock unmodified. Unfortunately 20 years of it being parked outside took its toll on the single stage paint. Paint condition aside, the car is crazy cool in stock form and is in impeccable mechanical condition.

Yes, that one. I couldn't give a gently caress less what the clearcoat looks like, a bone stock MkIV is a rare and beautiful sight.

Alfa seriously has the best looking front ends of any marque on the road today, can't wait to start seeing these in the states.

Thanks, I've having an absolute blast driving it around. The T5 is so much more fun and engaging than the dreary 2.5l Passat.

We're supposed to start getting some mainstream Alfa's here in the US over the next few years, but I'll believe it when I see it. Of course, we'll never see the Brera since it stopped production in 2010.

My car went in for some work the other day and they gave me one of these as a courtesy car for the day.

Even though it was winter, the sun was shining and I took the roof down and tore around the English countryside on my lunchbreak. Noticeably less powerful than my car but an absolute hoot to drive.

I don't know about the beemer, but I know for a fact that in both an SL500 (R230) and a 996 convertible you can drive around with the top down in -20 celsius with just a t-shirt on without freezing, as long as you keep the temp and fan on highest and blasting straight at you.

After a long winter the weather let up in the SF South Bay a few weeks ago. Decided it was a good morning to do a drive up from Portola Valley to 92/Highway in the hope of some tunnel runs. Heavy fog made it quite interesting.

Found this little guy at Alice's to be recalled later in the week over steering issues.

Stopped to watch the fog roll over the cliffs.

Bit of potato cam video and not nearly enough tunnel.

Neat. Sorry, I don't know much about BMWs, so I had to ask when I didn't see an obvious seam.
