Great youth code interview on the latest I die you die podcast. Cool stories about the skinny puppy megatour and some info about the band's upcoming stuff. It's a little hard to listen to, since youth code uses the word "like" at least three times a sentence, but it worth it.

I came to see if one of you had more info about this after seeing it mentioned on Displacer's FB - very cool idea! Thanks for the url/track list. (What? No Chrono Trigger covers?!) I also saw a... January challenge making the rounds (album from scratch in January). Other than Keef Baker and Displacer, has anyone else done this? edit: Displacer's January 'make an album from scratch' challenge album: https://crimeleague.bandcamp.com/album/nine-syllables (under his own name, it doesn't exactly fit into this thread though) Noricae fucked around with this message at 11:04 on Mar 18, 2015 |

I finally made a bandcamp. http://mockerydefeatsposterity.bandcamp.com Beauty EX is a collection of tracks from 2002 to 2006. Including tracks from the Beauty EP with few extra songs Beauty EX contains 16 tracks, 4 nightcore remixes, and as scraps left over from demos made for Uwe Boll. Enjoy some old Alaskan Industrial until I upload what I have so far of Hyper-Violent Porno Cartoon.

I paid a goon 9 years ago to draw it for a cd, I just now have a use for it. Here's the original cover from 2005. It's pretty much the only band shirt I've ever worn in public and gotten complimented, several times. Swans and Ned's Atomic Dustbin are distant seconds. Anyway 16volt have an even more graphic version with the tits out. Will post it when I get home, if no one else has by then. Edit: oh, and to be clear, only once was it a fan of the band that commented. Three times it was just anime nerds wondering what series it was.

I like this genre, but don't have a good source of news on it, so I occasionally return to this thread to find bands I didn't already know about. I had never heard of Assemblage 23 until yesterday (here) and they are good! I think my favorite Industrial-ish thing is still Kidneythieves, who haven't been doing much lately. Can anyone suggest something similar that is?

The Birthday Massacre are still making music, though I generally prefer their earlier albums: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp1FRKc24Zk I feel they're a bit samey now. Kidneythieves really reminded me of another band, but it's lost somewhere in the cobwebs of my mind. Will take a while to recall. teethgrinder fucked around with this message at 23:59 on Feb 8, 2015 |

Razed in Black also great but inactive mostly for ten years now. Their possibly ironic song Oh My Goth is them at the top of their game. I think my favourite A23 story comes from a photo they posted years back of their tour kit which included a trucker cap with some Christian slogan about Jesus on the front. They explained that when they were touring and had to make truck stops in very conservative or otherwise unfriendly country areas that might not be cool with black-wearing gothic types, Tom would wear the cap and go pick up supplies since he basically looked like a beefy trucker anyway.
