i haven't seen him post in forever but there was an sa user called gromit who worked for an anti-cp division in australia and would tell stories, usually they'd secure the scene/arrest the perp, he'd follow in once the location was secure and use one of those battery backup dealies we discussed earlier
Still doing computer forensics, but moved away from that stuff into a federal department, rather than the State law enforcement I was with before. See a hell of a lot less CP these days, that's for sure.
Instead, though, I get to go on a hell of a lot more warrants and some of those are a real blast. Some are just 17 hours of non-stop poo poo, too, but you get the good with the bad.

quote:Vulnerability Summary for CVE-2032-1102
Original release date: 07/01/2032
Last revised: 07/01/2032
Source: US-CERT/FDA
Overview:
Use-after-free vulnerability in QuickGenitals Open Firmware versions 2.01.2a and higher allow for remote
denial of service attacks on all compatible hardware and remote arbitrary code execution on specific models.
A modified HNDJ server or QG-compatible jerkphone can deliver specially-crafted commands that can
override normal QGOF controls and shut down the connected hardware completely, requiring a cold restart.
Some models can have their speed and duration settings modified, and in one documented case the safety
interlocks were disabled entirely leading to physical injury.
This vulnerability is being actively exploited. Users of QGOF-compatible devices are strongly encouraged to
either avoid using their equipment until an update is available is available for their device, or to connect
only to trusted HNDJ servers and end-users.
Countdown to the first bitcoin dick-locker. "You sexbot has been taken over, you have 24 hours to transfer 10 bitcoins before your dick gets permanently mangled".

an italian opera would be better
Ross: "Terrò un diario di pubblicare quando io sono ricchi e famosi. Nulla può andare storto"
Barksdale walks on-scene
Barksdale: "Moolie, stai prendendo appunti su un associazione a delinquere?"
-tears diary from his hands as orchestra slams a gong-
quote:
(Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality;
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see)
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm (easy come, easy go
Little high, little low)
Anyway the wind blows, (doesn't really matter to me),
to me
Mama, I just killed a man
Put a hit upon his head
An angel pulled a trigger, now he's dead
Mama, my life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oo-o-o-o-oo
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sending shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody - I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oo-o-o--oo - (anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all...
INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGE
I see a little silhouetto of a man
(Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me)
Karpeles, (Karpeles),
Karpeles, (Karpeles),
Karpeles Figaro - (magnifico-o-o-o-o)
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
(He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity)
Easy come easy go - will you let me go
Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Will not let you go - let me go-o-o-o-o
No, no, no, no, no, no, no no no-no-
Oh mama mia, mama mia, (mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside
for me
for me
for) ME!
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby - can't do this to me baby
I just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here
INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGE
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah, ooh...
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters - nothing really matters...
to-o meeee
Only had to change like 5 lines to make this work, loving Freddie Mercury was a goddamn Nostradamus.
RIP Freddie

I mean don't get me wrong, I love Brawker.com - but I do kinda feel like cheating when saying I'm living off Bitcoin. I mean, I am, but through others.
You should definitely try Brawker.com but... the point of this thread is - what happened to merchants offering Bitcoin payments and that nice 5-10% discount?
This reddit used to be so dead set on getting more merchants into the game. Now it's getting all... political and... weird.

I. THE BURIAL OF THE THREAD
FEBRUARY is the cruellest month, flogging
jokes out of the dead horse, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull posts with fleeting hope.
Reddit kept us warm, covering
Earth in ignorant chaff, feeding
A little laffs with dried berries.
The Feds surprised us, coming over the Darknet
With a handful of warrants; we stopped at Starbucks,
And went on in the drizzle, into Shibuya,
And drank coffee, and chatted for an hour.
Je ne suis pas un Japonais, originaire d'Bourgogne, vrai français.
And when we were in business, hosted at Ross's,
My first mate's, they found us out,
And he was frightened. He said, Mark,
Mark, I want out. But down he went.
In the Orient, there you feel free.
I shitpost, much of the night, and troll Twitter in the winter.
Where are the posts that dazzle, what fives grow
Out of this tired rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken links, where the drollery fails,
And the old scams give us no mirth, the undead no relief,
And the mods no promise of future. Only
There is a shadow under this thread,
(Come in under the shadow of this thread),
And I will show you something different from either
A bitcoiner at morning buying eagerly
Or a bitcoiner at evening hodling stubbornly;
I will show you fear in a handful of bits.
