One team had nothing but "active" roles (roleblocker, doctor), the other had passive (bulletproof, godfather). In games with two scumteams you make them expecting scum to cross-kill. Giving the team a doctor lets them try to anticipate any kills and give them a way to stave off accidentally losing most of their team by the start of day 2.

The only reason I bring up the setup spec is because scum doctor is an uncommon role, and we'd need a good reason to seriously suspect one. The setup is a good reason - it's very plausible the scum would have a doctor. Byers's play doesn't line up with a town doctor. It lines up better with a scum doctor. And, of course, this is assuming he isn't totally pulling this out of the air, since as I already said the scum almost certainly have fakeclaims
