100 yrs spends time talking about what scum would/wouldn't do, maybe it's a bit early in the day to really read into stuff much, but my intuition pings that as scum via a sort of 'Hey guyyyys, scum totally wouldn't do X, right' vibe

I will try as much as I can to emulate lumpen's e-prime thing seeing how much of an amusing challenge it seems. Also maybe it'll help me clear up the way I type, which as most of you know, often meanders about. I won't be as strict about it though.

Take my comments as you will, in my defense I just weighed in on the votes that they had cast using my what little experience I have. I don't think we should go back to joke-voting or play less seriously, but they just struck me as so earnest that I felt they jumped the gun.

Gosh, how does Lumpen do this e-prime stuff constantly? Took me about 6 minutes just to type this post and eliminate the 'to be's'.

I'd been happy, and I was happy still. For all to be accomplished,
for me to feel less lonely,
all that remained to hope
was that on the day of my execution
there should be a huge crowd of spectators and that they should
greet me with howls of execration.

I applaud your choice 100Yrs and I hope you'll find the experience enlightening. I have striven to speak E-Prime in my daily life too, since I discovered the concept, and found that it enhances my clarity of thought and improves my interpersonal relationships.

I don't think I would go that far but we will see how it turns out.

I feel glad to see you playing!

I moved back to Indiana from Korea at the end of 2012, got married at the beginning of last year and have a 4 month old son now.

Some days ago – nevermind how long precisely – having little to no sense, and nothing particularly to interest me since RuPaul's Drag Race starts next week, I thought I should join a mafia game.

I am good! Glad this actually started and now should probably go back and read the jokephase I missed to see if I'm late on that joke.

E-Prime makes one constantly aware that nothing can be known, aware of the intractable gulf between reality and perception.

The map does not equal the territory.

Whaler's satisfy themselves only by complete destruction of the biggest creatures alive, that perhaps ever existed. We can only barely call ourselves whalers by killing at least someone tonight. Also finished Moby Dick in January. Much better than I expected. Hell I'd even call it funny at times. Just really really long.
