Orks (ElBrak) vs. Imperial Navy (thatbastardken, played by Vulin) Heroic Victory for the Imperial Navy! The Imperium takes control over the Forge World of Peridot! Renown changes for the Navy: +2 for battle won, +1 for subplot, +2 for captured hulks, +7 for VPs, -3 for lost capitals = +9 Renown changes for Orks: -1 renown for losing, -1 for subplot failure, +1 for fighting a fleet with a higher cost and losing, +5 renown for my victory points, +1 for fighting a commander with higher renown =+5 quote:00:48:09 Vulin experience rolls for the Imperious, Sovereign and Potentate quote:00:58:12 Vulin .roll 1d6 reinforcement appeal Journal of Sub Sector Commander Macklemore 5793999.M41: After reports reached me that the Orks had taken Peridot I send the 'Invincible' and the 'Intrepid', two of our finest scouting cruisers, to get better intel on the situation. Soon after they called for reinforcements. A small ork fleet had taken control over the system. The first ships to make contact were the two Tyrant Cruisers 'Absolute' and 'Autocrat'. Together with the help of the two Dauntless light cruisers they were able to hold the enemy fleet occupied until Commander Lewis and I could arrive together with the Emperor battleship 'Potentate'. Our two Overlords and the Emperor were able to pick apart the Ork fleet. Sadly the 'Autocrat', the 'Absolute' and the 'Intrepid' were destroyed in the firefight. The 'Invincible' was barely able to evade their fate. Still, we were able to clear out the ork ships. Reports from Peridot indicate that an heavy ork incursion on the ground persists, but that is a concern for the Army generals, not me.

Ok just because this seems to be a place where BFG is actually active, here's a necron post. Although I think revised really helps put necrons in the same game as everyone else, there still need to be a few tweaks done (particularly to play them in a campaign without frustrating everyone involved). Here we go: All ahead full changed from +1d6x10 to +6d6. This helps necrons actually being predictable instead of the battleship flying around and repositioning faster than escorts. Repairs changed to 6+ instead of 4+, however ld penalties removed from the crit table unless a 10 is rolled. Although I see the original reason of easily repairable crits (low number of ships:cost means a crit is more disruptive), I think the damage reduction necrons provide negate this and there is no reason for crits to almost certainly repair. Alternatively, the ld penalties make playing necrons in a campaign an exercise in frustration, which your current opponent will see no real benefit from. With the points increases, necron large cap ships are about right, while the escorts may need a little monitoring. However the light cruisers are total garbage and could probably need a rework. I'm open to suggestions, the shroud probably doesn't need much as it has it's special ability while the cartouche seems rather awful. If anyone has thoughts on this, go ahead. poo poo, well I'm getting real tired of having to recruit new people. Maybe a campaign wasn't the best idea, considering goons. Maybe we should just make a TG thread and maintain the channel, and just play whenever people are up to it? I'll still run the game, if people are still into it, but it feels like most of the interest is dying out.

Good times. Jeeze, sorry about that. Hope you're ok now. I don't think we're really going to continue this campaign though, too many people are adding and dropping every turn and it's become a bit of a nightmare. You can still organize games in here if you do want to play, so can make thread in TG for it.
